      First Lucid Dream?

After 2 months of trying I'm pretty sure I just had my first LD. It's funny because I'd decided to give it a break the last couple of days.
I automatically realised I was dreaming without reality checks. I looked around and tried rubbing my hands together to increase the vividness, but the dream then faded into a another place. I was in a bedroom and I tried floating and jumping on the bed, but this woke me up.

Was this is a semi lucid dream? It was very blurry and I didn't feel like I was completely there in my body.

Also, if so will I likely have LD's more often now?

      Thanks!

I think you were not fully lucid.
Cause when you are, YOU are 100% at that place, and you say you weren't completely there?
But chances are you getting in lucid states more often now.
My first lucids weren't long either, they are still to short, lol. :p

A full lucid should be even more vidid than real life! and you feel like you are fully there.

Being lucid is knowing that you're dreaming. So it was a lucid dream, but it was one with low vividness and clarity, but it's still a lucid dream then.

Wether you get LD's more often now, or not, is up to your practice .

Did you feel as thought you knew that you were dreaming and understood the implications of that realization?
If yes, then you were lucid.
If no, then you were not.
If you do not know or remember, then it is impossible to determine.
My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)

This is referring to a layer 3 lucid dream. Lucid dreams that only reach layer 1 or 2 of lucidity are also valid. The dream in question reached layer 2 of lucidity so technically it was a lucid dream.

Whether or not you have more LDs is up to your practice. Try to analyze what you did right that allowed you to have this lucid dream. That information will come in handy.

I don't know what the definitions are but the OP knew they were dreaming and to me that's lucid. I have had dreams where I have questioned if I'm dreaming but couldn't figure it out or became distracted by something and then lost within the dreamworld again (or shifted into another scene).
