OK I have an idea. But Because I'm not a LD Pro yet, I can't really try this method myself.

Right, here's the idea.
You know how you can make contact with your sub-conscious better while Dreaming/LDing? (e.g when you're talking to a DC [specially your "Dream-Guide"] you're actually talking to your subconscious directly.)
Right so my idea is , while you're lucid dreaming, start talking to your subconscious , and ASK it to allow you to realise that you are dreaming, whenever you are dreaming!
But you should really focus on your request, and you should show your SC that you're REALLY determined to have LD's.
Something like that.
Like I said I can't try the method myself and I don't even know if it sounds logical or not. But do you think it would be possible to do that? Because as far as I know , our SC controls all are non-lucid dreams. So it might be possible that if our SC realises that we want to have LD's whenever we want, it might allow us to do thta.

By the way , I don't know if this has been done/talked about before so if it has , please send me a link so I can read about it more. I wasn't sure what to call it so I called it LDILD (Lucid Dream Induced Lucid Dream&#33 because you induce your next Lucid Dream , within a Lucid Dream!!

If you have any opinions , please tell me , I'd be happy to hear them. And if anyone is good enough at LDing that is able to try this soon , I would really appreciate it if they could try it and post the results. Thanx

I read some post about asking a DC to tell you are dreaming next time. I think it was called DC induced LD.

You can't program your dreams or your sub-conscious, in such an advanced way. It is possible to make powerfull suggestions through lucid-dreaming and dreaming in general, but if you could affect your sub-conscious, so that your DCs tell you to become lucid, you could also do a bunch of other things, like screwing your mind completely.

It can't be done.

what proof do you have that such a method could not work? there are methods such as lucid dream induced dreaming that pro lucid dreamers use to help regurgitate consciousness in dreams and it has been done before. not only that tebetan monks have been influencing there subconscious for years which gave life to the now recent idea that problems can be solved via DC in lucid dreams. Influencing our subconscious is how we even have lucid dreams in the first place. this method is not a new idea, it has been implimented many times before by experienced lucid dreamers. I can show you a book which talks all about influencing the subscious through lucid dreaming.

What proof do you have that it can?

As Marvo said, from a survival viewpoint it would be really fucking dumb if you had the ability to rewire neural circuitry in the dream state. You could erase entire memories, forget your native language, how to move. Not to mention that this is firmly in the realms of 'beyond' dreaming, practically metaphysical. There's really no grounds to call it a method at all.

Also, think constructively. The most you can achieve in a dream in terms of 'programming' your unconscious mind is auto-suggestion. Big deal. I can do auto-suggestion when I'm awake, I could do it all day. Why go to the trouble of inducing a lucid dream to perform a technique that is most effective when implemented while falling asleep?

I've tried it before (On accident, because I was being chased by a man with a butchers knife down an abandoned road) because I was freaked out from a dream I was currently in that I couldn't get out of, and I desperately wanted to change it. So I stopped running and turned around to face the man and shouted in his face "WAKE UP! I MUST WAKE UP OR CHANGE THE DREAM! NOTHING WILL HAPPEN IF YOU STAB ME! IT WONT HURT!" And I just screamed this but I ended up being a scared little girl and kept trying to dodge his stabs by rolling around and etc until finally I remember he had stabbed and killed me so I was able to wake up.

Though this may differ from person to person, this is what happened to me.

I'm not sure I see how this experience is related to "LILD" (=asking a dream / DC to make you lucid next time you're lucid)?

I had several lucid dreams when I was younger from which I couldn't wake up - but it was only due to the lack of dream control (=understating that I have the control in a dream, and finding creative ways to do what I wish). Since I started practicing LDing and reading about it I had no such problem... So if it's the same for you, maybe practicing more dream control in your lucids would be beneficial? The more you practice being in control the easier it will be next time.

About "LILD" - I agree with Ctharlhie - it's mostly counterproductive in my opinion. You can only do so much to "install a new app" into your brain. In this case, it would be only autosuggestion, something that you can do in real life and save yourself some time in the lucid to practice awareness, presence, control, etc. To make it really work you'll need to have many lucids frequently (and repeat it again and again) - but if attaining lucidity is already easy for you, then why do you need LILD... Seems not very productive to me.

By the way, isn't this necroposting? Might be better to open a new thread if it's necessary...
