      What happened?

I remember going to sleep at 10:30pm and I became paralized. My body was shaking, it was getting stronger and stronger. I started to hear a voice, I didn't want to open my eyes because I didn't want to see any scary hallucinations. I knew I was in my own bed but in my 'dream' I was in my mothers room sleeping on her bed. It was like I was in a half-awake, half-dreaming state. I could still feel the vibrations. They became really intense. The voice returned and It was my mother. She was trying to wake me up from the sleep paralysis on her bed. She was shaking me to wake up. I woke up in her bed and said thank you for getting me out of sleep paralysis then I immediately fell back into SP but this time I was in my own bed and I knew I wasn't dreaming anymore. I got myself out of SP, I woke up and it was only 11pm.

Sounds like classic sleep paralysis and a false awakening. Were you trying to induce a lucid dream? Dreams that early in the night are quite short, sudden, and charged with emotion which can make them very frightening. Sleep paralysis can happen randomly and most people will experience it a few times in their lifetime. It also seems more likely if you are very tired, under a lot of stress, or starting a new medication.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

I agree. it sounds like you began a dream and were worried about the SP that you began dreaming about it and had a false awakening. I'm not exactly an expert because I've never consciously experienced a false awakening nor SP but I do know quite a lot. It sounds like a very frightening night you had.

I didn't go to sleep with the intentions of becoming lucid, I wasn't even trying. I must admit, I'm still scared of SP even though it's been happening to me since I was 14. I'm 18 now and I want to experience lucidity but it's freaky.
