Yes. Give it more time. If you wake up in the middle of the night, try jotting down any dream material you can remember before going back to sleep. If you are rushed in the mornings, give yourself an extra 5 minutes or so to prioritize recalling your dreams first thing. You have to grasp at those dream traces when you wake and, over time, you will find they take less effort and increase in strength/number.

Also, the body works on an variable ratio/interval to pretty much everything, so do not stress out when you encounter a week or two of bad recall. It averages out over time and I've never heard of anybody losing these skills.
