Dream sign ? Or nah ??

Okay so hello everyone i'm an newbie in lucid dreaming. I realized that i dream alot about sand themes like an desert or a beach. Is that a dream sign. Just a quick question

If it's a frequent dream element in your dreams, then it's a dream sign. That's it. Anything you find that you dream a lot about will work. It can be an object (e.g. for me, balloons), an action (e.g. driving, especially bad driving), a place (e.g. where I work), a person (e.g. my buddy Mike), or even an emotion or abstract concept (e.g. anger and rage). We can't really tell you what your dream signs are, as it's different for everyone. That's why having a dream journal with lots of entries is important: you can see common elements to determine your dream signs. But it sounds like deserts and beaches are definitely two of your dream signs.

Focusing on the dream signs will only benefit you if you know how to take advantage of it. IMO I never did focus on specific dream signs, because you have to have awareness to even recognize it. At that extent you might as well just do some awareness exercises or RCs. You say that the theme of your dreams are "sand, desert, etc." Well who's to say that theme won't change in the future? If you really want to find a good RC, write in your dream journal faithfully paying attention to everything in the dream. Learn how your subconscious mind works in your dreams and then you will know how to navigate them.
