It occurred to me today that perhaps the more tired you are the easier it is to stay lucid for a lengthier amount of time. I say this because often people mention they get so excited when they realize they're lucid dreaming that they wake up. |

You know what, this may be true. Although, either way, if you can contain your emotions you could stay in an LD as long as you want- but thats without mentioning things such as stabilization and such. So really I think this may be true to a point. Specifically, if I am mentally tired, I lose lucidity more easily. On the other hand, when Im mentally prepared and not tired, my lucids seem to be longer, but I'm not sure. |

Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
-Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams
I do think it is an option however I believe more factors play in on how long a person stays asleep and how long a lucid dream last. With decent control on maintaining calm during a lucid dream a person can prolong it to how long they can manage. Though when someone isn't great at control chances are they'll wake up faster like people who just had their first lucid dream, they aren't use to it or know how to control it so they wake up so quickly despite their physical conditions in waking life. It's very true that a person must remain calm when asleep regardless if it's a lucid dream or not as when someone is experiencing a nightmare in a dream they start to panic and quickly wake up or experience an FA. But overall my opinion I think it does add a benefit to how long a person stays asleep when they are tired because when someone is the opposite of tired they do not only have a hard time falling asleep but they wake up with in 2 hours or less from sleep ( From my own experiences ). |

Yeah, remaining calm and peaceful in dream might actually replace stabilization techniques job for some people |

I'm back! Again? Uhhh..
I think that being very tired can have a negative effect on your dream recall, so that even if you technically had a long lucid dream you might not remember very much of it. |
