Everyone takes different periods of time to get dream recall down, just because they can recall 4 separate dreams does not mean they do so with detail or enough recollection to pick out dream signs. In order to properly identify dream signs and prepare the mind for lucid dreaming, it should be adept enough to remember even the smallest details of dreams.
I am sure what the OP meant by "tried to have an LD" is like many of us in here when we started. They probably laid down, began to feel some sensations as the body was preparing for sleep and got excited thinking it was happening. This is a very common occurrence for beginners, of which I experienced myself while beginning.
To the OP,
Lucid dreaming cannot be picked up over a week or even a month as Sinister said. It is more a lifestyle that you have to adopt and integrate into your daily routine if you wish to master it. All of us in here that have had multiple lucid experiences have more than likely worked hard at it for periods of time. For me personally, I didn't have one till after 5 months of trying. Keep at it and you will succeed!
