I can say that I have studied and practiced this book you speak of but only minimally. I started having increased AP like experiences fairly quickly (I am prone to waking into sleep paralysis already) so I didn't go to far into the energy practices. I've actually talked about this in my podcast with Wurlman, but personally I believe AP is the same as WILD because the experiences are identical in nature. I do find Robert Bruce's techniques very useful for WILD and the energy practices are basically a type of meditation. I am not sure if energy is actually being changed, but the effects are absolutely real. Also, I am very skeptical if we are actually leaving the body or if it's just a different type of lucid dream; I'd like to think that we are. In the end, it really doesn't matter as the experiences are real enough. I'm glad I saw this post because I have been meaning to get back into this to see if I can really increase my lucid dream frequency. This is a good reminder. By the way, welcome to the club. |
