This would work! Before doing the mantra, though, I think it would be good to reimagine your first memory of your last dream, only with you remembering to do a reality check upon seeing for the first time and becoming lucid. That way, you can learn from your mistakes and improve your prospective memory, rather than letting it stay stagnant. |
|
This is simply not MILD. |
|
I think that could easily work and would be considered a MILD in my understanding of a MILD anyway. |

If you only have the skills to do so you can experience anything you can imagine as real.
No, it can sometimes become a WILD and I'll hold on to consciousness all the way through. |

The effectiveness would depend on the trigger "the next time i open my eyes." I'd guess it best fits with false awakenings and the like. But for other flavors of dreams, there might never be a moment where you subjectively experience "opening your eyes" either consciously or unconsciously. |

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
When we say ' next time im dreaming i will realize im dreaming' how does this work? Would we not have to become concious in the dream to actually know its a dream in the first place for this mantra to work? |

Fair question. Prospective memory and so many other mental faculties are mainly in the realm of the subconscious mind. Thus, what's really most important is what your subconscious mind interprets from the mantra. And that might (likely) be different from the literal meaning of the words as they appear in a dictionary. So when we say "the next time I am dreaming," the subconscious might actually hear "when I see a dreamsign" or "when I notice something surreal." And of course, those cues would depend on what you have previously established as dreamsigns or surreality. Or it could interpret something else. It all depends on the habitual and symbolic ideas that have taken root in one's subconscious, and that will be unique to each person. |

Yeah I know what you mean, I've thought that before too. |
