      Location based Wilding - maybe?

Hi, its me again with another posting

So at the moment my routine is like this. Each night I perform SSILD about 4-5 hours into sleep. This has given me 3 DILD's out of about 18 attempts. I always wake up again about 6-7 hours into sleep which is prime time for WILDing. I have only had 3 succesfull WILDS during naps months ago and want to learn to WILD on a regular basis. I meditate daily and I simply know I can master this one day

I have tried many different anchors and follow BillyBobs tutorial. I am thinking about trying to use a pre determined day dream as an anchor as I have read about this before somewhere. Now i made a discovery today whilst looking in my dream journal. I have had a total of 9 DILDS over 5 months and all of them (apart from 1) have been in dreams that were based either in my house or around the streets where I live. In fact it would seem safe to say that whenever I DILD it will start from a very familiar location.

So my thinking is to create a short (2 mins) looping daydream where Im wandering around my home and the local streets and to use as an anchor for WILDing (using wbtb)

Is this thinking wrong? should an anchor be something more simple such as pain or a mantra etc

Its frustrating that after 4 months I dont have nightly lucid dreams as I really put all my efforts into this with several attempts every night.

So is my daydream anchor simply a daydream or is this something that others have tried?

Thanks again and again for all the great advice. I hope one day to be able to give back to this forum instead of taking away

      Ezzo

An anchor is anything that helps keep your mind aware while your body goes to sleep.

I'm not sure if this will be helpful or is relevant but your post reminded me of a WILD technique called HH Interaction. If your current technique isn't producing any results than maybe trying something new will be what helps break the rut!

Here is a link to the original method.

And here is a link to a thread where a user, yaya, tries the method for 30-days and records her progress.

The idea is that you create a short, familiar daydream like you mentioned and then interact with random elements introduces by your mind as you fall asleep. Could be worth a shot!

“Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”
