This makes no differences, if you'r on computer or exploring new world everyday, it's just matter with your ability to be "aware".
I had my first vivid lucid dream in period when I was practicing ADA, all day in front of a computer, at work, and it worked.
The external world doesn't matter, it's just about your abilities.
And even you'r working on a computer, you have those moments in life when you brush your teeth, lunch time, week-ends, the time your spend to travel to work...
There is a lot of differents spots when you can practice these awareness moments.
Well I'm not an experienced lucid dreamer, but I think you ar on the right way, patience.
