Obviously the WBTB method in conjunction with other induction techniques has proven to be one of the most potent ways to attaining lucidity. My question is how should we go about spending our WBTB time. |

I for one, also have a hard time falling back to sleep after a long WBTB. Once I'm up, I'm unfortunately up for the long run in most cases. For this reason, I like to keep my WBTB short... like a few seconds short if possible |

For a longer WBTB, a good thing is to find a video lecture on youtube. I haven't done this in a while, but it used to be a staple of my practice. A lecture typically ranges from 15 minutes to an hour, so you can probably find one about the right length to match the intended WBTB time. Or split it up over multiple nights. They can be about lucid dreaming, but anything will do. Talks about meditation and those by Alan Watts were among my favorites. |

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
Oh, and for those that have the option, during long wbtbs, i usually cuddle. My wife has an alarm set in the morning to cuddle, so i set intent to wake up a bit before that and write down some dreams, get back to bed ans cuddle. Doesnt have to stop there, you can always continue or just fall asleep cuddling. Generally falling asleep cuddling is going to be in a less comfortable position than normal, making it a bit more aware. |
