      Migraine reverie, anybody?

      Background:
I had a bit of a headache most of the evening/last night, but nothing too bad. Slept ok.
I had breakfast normally the next morning. Still had the lingering, but manageable headache. Couldn't stomach my cup of tea (the taste of it) after so I knew I was in for a rough ride. Felt worse so I went for a lie down on my back.
For about 3-5 hours of feeling nauseous I found it REALLY easy to enter a state of reverie/hypnagogic imagery (yes eyes closed) to the point I started to wonder if I could maybe do this with my eyes open which would be very interesting? (I did not try as there was a bit of ambient light in the room, even with the curtains shut). I did have very short typical dream imagery at times.
I never fell asleep and I did have to sit up occasionally in the hope that the nausea tendency would settle before standing up which helped. Lying back down on my side would have probably triggered nausea as it felt unconfortable when I attempted it.

I don't suffer from the 'classic' migraine as such. The last similar one like this I had was about 5 or 6 years ago where I had a weak 'dream' or scene of being in my neighbour's kitchen across from me IWL. This whilst I was stitting up on the end of my bed (hoping not to puke) with all the hypnopompia/hypnagogia/reverie/delirium or whatever the correct terminology is when you are resting, rather than in a 'sleep' state.
I should point out it is not a usual or common experiment for me, or one I would like to induce. (I.e. hangover).
No drugs, apart from two painkillers before going to bed. Did not take any the next day for obvious reasons. Good sleep. (Not deprived).

Has anybody here who suffers from regular migraine or nausea-inducing headaches had anything similar, or if they have attempted a daytime WILD when ill?

Have you read any of Anthony Peake's books? He thinks that migraine suffers have a more direct communication with their higher self (people with temporal lobe epilepsy and psychosis even more so), and he presents quite an interesting theory around this. Perhaps there is something of this occuring when you have a migraine?

No, but thanks for the insightful answer. I've never really thought about it to that extent. I will try to read up and research him for reference.
Thankfully the episodes are infrequent but I have always noticed how easily it is to experience dreamlike imagery during these periods whilst resting. Fever type dreams are probably the same, related or nearest analogy perhaps?

Background - Iam quite an introspective/creative person in general.

I used to have migraines and I can experience headache and nausea. I remember that I take the over the counter medicines to relieve the pain.
