Thread: I need some help.

Lately I have been struggling with lucid dreaming. Not becoming lucid. Lately I have been having frequent lucid dreams, I am averaging like 1 or two a night. But the problem is they are short and vague. I am skipping the conscious realization that I am becoming lucid. My goal which I really could use a answer to of "Show me the best way for me to get my clan mates to join my discord sever I made for the clan". Interesting enough I have only ever been able to ask a question and receive a answer once. That was my dream where I was shown something important.

Allow me to delve deeper into these dreams in which my questions were unanswered. My first lucid dream in which I ask a question happens before I ask show me something important. I happen to see a dream figure, so I ask "what do you represent" I do not receive a answer. However I remember seeing a house to the left of the dream figure that may/may not of been on fire as the dream collapsed. My next two happen shortly after my dream where I ask to see something important. Which by the way I may have figured out the meaning of thanks to everyone for their suggestions as to what the meaning may mean. So the first night I start the dream off lucid and I ask "show me how to get my clan onto discord" something like that. The scene starts to shift but then I remember I forgot to ask show me. So I re ask and nothing happens. Then I ask another question. As the dream starts to collapse I see a burning bridge collapse. The next night I once again start the dream off lucid and ask a updated version of the question by saying " Show me the best way to get my clan mates to join my discord sever" I do remember seeing this figure who was on fire. It looked powerful like a god, but I am Catholic so I only believe in one god. I did not get my answer however the last thing I remember seeing is that figure on fire as the dream collapse.

So a possible burning house, a burning bridge, a figure on fire all while the dream collapses what do they mean. I can't even ask what they could mean in my dream because I have been struggling to have a solid lucid dream. Could they be blocking me from having a solid lucid dream. One that is not short and vague. What do you think?

For the fire, it is generally a symbol of desire and will... creativity and such. Maybe daydream about controlling fire... direct it, focus it. And pair this with physical action. What are you motivated to do? Or passionate about? Do it.

But because it is paired with collapsing matter, it would generally symbolize truth breaking down ignorance...
What fundamental beliefs are being questioned now? Maybe let go of them. Not, don't believe it, but shed them as necessary to your identity...

Because, this is happening in the context of you trying to... dreamshare? Maybe it is the manifestation of your drive, and/or the need to let go of your ego in order to succeed, as though you are nearing your goal. Failure and hope.

I am not trying to dream share. I am very determined to lead my clan to win the clash of clans season tournament. In fact it's the only reason I play the game. I like the challenge of having a long term goal having to work with others to accomplish that. I am worry about not getting my clan members to join a third party app for communication though. Perhaps the fire represents my fear of failing?

Sure, destruction is failure, or obstacle... like the collapsing bridge. But the fire brings truth and rebirth. And it is the burning star that brings hope and direction.

Obstacle. Failure. Hope. Success. Seems like an exciting omen for your tournament

Update: It is a block. I just had a lucid dream in which I asked three questions. The first one was one where I asked the clash of clans question. The second one I don't remember. The third I asked a dream figure/though form what do you represent. I did not get an answer, I think I am experiencing a block. How should I overcome this block. I mean if I ask for the source of the block I wouldn't get an answer because I have a block preventing me from receiving answers correct? And If I am correct how should I overcome this block?

At this point, the source of the block is probably your perception that dream characters will not respond to your questions. This perception needs to be changed!

Think of it this way: questions are asked as a request for a certain response. Therefore, if the dream responds to any request, it will answer any question. So, try to develop this perception: the dream will likely respond to any request. You can develop this perception during the dream without asking DCs questions.

To develop this perception, it is helpful to experience proof that this perception is true. Seeing is believing! During the dream, make simple, easy requests for the dream to respond to. For example, the request could be for a specific item to be in your pocket or for a certain sound to appear. Make the requests easy for yourself and the dream so that you can experience success. Have the dream respond to various requests until it seems like the dream will respond to any request. When you get to this point, test this perception once more by asking a DC a question. If the DC answers, great. If the dc does not answer, no worries. Just go back to developing your perception some more before trying again.

At the same time though, shouldn't I be open minded. If I expect to always have an answer and I ask a question, don't I have to be careful of expecting the answer I want to hear? I try to be open minded as possible because I am worried I will hear the answer I want to hear( the answer I expect) rather than the actual true answer. So does one just have to be balanced between expecting and being open minded?

You don't have to consciously expect a specific answer. Be open minded!

You don't have to be careful of consciously expecting the answer you want to hear. This dreams answer comes mostly outside of conscious awareness.

Is there any situation in which I should be careful about expecting the answer I want to hear? I still feel that since we can control the dream to an extent. That it is possible to ask a question an expect a certain answer. And in turn get that certain answer.

I think controlling a dream is like controlling our body position (hands, arms, feet, legs, eyes, head, ect). We can indeed consciously control our body position/dream to an extent, but if we unconsciously have a stronger idea for a body position/dream, that is the idea we will adopt.

Will power can be exerted to force the conscious ideas to be stronger relative to without willpower. If you're worried about conscious expectations manipulating the answer in the dream, try not to exert willpower over the dream.

Try to consciously control your body position and then try to not consciously control your body position and you will see what I mean. The body position/dream is based on whether the conscious or unconscious idea is stronger.
