Turning a non lucid into an LD.

What stage(s) of sleep is it possible to turn a normal dream into a lucid one. The vast majority of my lucid dreams come from dream signs, so I would really love to know which stages are possible and which stage is most possible. Upon knowing that, i'm going to take supplements/whatever I can to increase my odds of falling into THAT stage of sleep.

Well most dreams usually occur in REM sleep, and that happens about 4-6 hours into sleep, depending upon the person. So i reccommend setting your alarm about 5 hours into sleep, and then after you wake up, write down any dreams you might have had, or any feelings, and THEN setting your alarm for 90 minute intervals.
