I've been doing lucid dreams for years but I never tried too much to control or change dramatically the course of my dreams, except from some details. But I've tried two nights ago and it was bizarre. |

You could have possiby doubted yourself as your are pretty concentrated that it was your first time trying whatever it was you were trying. |

Why sleep when you can dream?
Well in fact, while I was falling, I was perfectly lucid. I was totally aware I was dreaming and that I was trying this for the first time. That's why I kept waiting for to arrive at the garden. But I continue falling, and after a little while, even though I was lucid, I started to be afraid. Why didn't the garden finally appear ? |

maybe it means to get to your paradise, you have to face your fear and fall. |

I've read a bit in the "Dream Control" section of this forum and I think this is probably where I should had send this post. |

I would say you were doubtful atleast somewhat. It shows through the fear you displayed though I believe you will overcome that with more attempts. Lets not forget your mind builds these ideas of what's 'right and wrong', 'safe or not' 'good or bad' ect while you are awake... but it does so for your own good. You can overcome them in your sleep, start small and work your way up. |

Since two posters (HoppyPotty and hOju) told me that maybe I was doubtful, I went to read the information page on Dream Control. It is written "In order to be successful at changing your dreams you have to believe it is possible. If you’re trying to do something in your dream that you don’t really believe is possible, then chances are you will be unsuccessful. You must convince yourself that you are in control and anything you want is possible." |

try excercising easier and more apparent control IE: imagine a tasty apple behind you, picture it perfectly smell color ect if you can, then turn around and eat it |
|
Try teleporting next time =) |

Dear Caro, |

Thank you all very much. I guess next time I want to change my environnement, maybe I'll first practice some easier and more apparent control, as h0ju suggested, and then take a door as a passage. |
