      Problems

I have been having problems with lucid dreaming. I had very detached ones a lot, or ones where I am about to come out of dreaming and I am lucid quickly.

I don't believe I am able to WILD because I do not have any HI.
I have tried HILD and it has worked with some efficiency, but I believed it mostly worked because I was thinking of Lucidity before I was falling asleep. Maybe not though.
I can't do anything in the WBTB category because my sleep schedule does not really allow.

      CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

Maybe with a new technique. I do RC's everyday and so far the DILD technique is the only one that works, but with it most of my lds are detached and not vivid and senseless.

My biggest problem is having detached dreams and lucid dream, if anyone here has seem really good techniques for making dreams seem more real, please answer me. (all dreams seem unrealistic, not just lucids)

      Thanks.

Unrealistic and nonvivid dreams. Can you elaborate on that a little bit?

Are they fuzzy or just fragmented? There are different techniques you can try for each.

Fuzzy: Let me know what you do in a typical day. Do you have to apply logic quite a bit to your daily affairs? Do you play a lot of video games? Sounds like you might need some exercises to keep your mind going through the night

Fragmented: Most likely this is because you are not sleeping soundly during REM and things are disturbing your dreams. Check your environment. Is it conducive to good sleep? Is your bed comfortable? Room a nice temperature? Right level of Noise?

this seems to bother me quiet a bit as well.

Most of my LDs tend to lead to waking up quickly (probably false awakenings but i seem to never check) or I relize I'm dreaming but it doesn't register. I just keep doing whatever dream task I have.

I think getting more sleep helps. So I'm more likely going to care that I'm dreaming. And maybe so I don't wake up in the unstable transfer between subconsious and consious dreaming. If that makes any sense... I don't know.

That's a given. If I don't have at least 9 hours to devote to sleep, the chances of becoming lucid are almost nil.

I do use a lot of logic and brainpower during the day, my dreams are more fuzzy and disoriented than fragmented.

What are some excersises? I get 7-9 hours of sleep a night.

This differs from person to person. For some, 7 hours is enough, others require 10.
And this is only if you're monophasic.

I'm doing polyphasic sleep lately, and sleeping every 4 hours for 25 minutes. That's 2.5 hours a day/night. Apparently this causes more lucid dreams, but I haven't been doing it for long enough to know.
Steve Pavlina however has had a number of lucid dreams while sleeping like this.

      Just some food for thought
There's so much we don't understand properly

But yeah, in terms of the OP, it may be worth it to do wake back to bed (WBTB) and at least about 9 hours.

(PS: I've been doing this for 32 days now, and you can find my blog at http://www.placebo.serv.co.za )

Everyone "has HI". Hypnagogic imagery occurs during sleep onset. You merely lose awareness before hypnagogic imagery arises, which is how one falls asleep regularly just about every day.

It takes a great deal of practice, it seems, to handle WILD. For, too much concentration doesn't allow for sleep onset as needed and too little lets you drift off away from awareness. Thus, it is a balance of awareness and passiveness that one must achieve to successfully perform a WILD.

Then how people descirbe HI is far off for me. The vividness of my HI is very fuzzy and it's never colors or swirls of light but mostly memories and thoughts.

HI is a very individual experience. Some experience shocks, muscle jolts, spinning, falling, but most experience 'mini dreams' - little crazy flashes of imagery that make little sense.
The other stuff is often caused by the onset of sleep paralysis.
Personally, I *sometimes* get falling, spinning sensations. Other times I get nothing.
But always, I have nutty flightt little dreams.

i can induce hypnagogic imagery in meditation if i am focused enough, it seems to always be events, like me sitting in car, or walkign down a road or near a river, or sitting at a bar

always something random, i used to get the random images i think most people do, but it seems these days to be affected by how much i exercise my third eye or focus my consciousness inside my body

      ne way
      Why?

Well recently I have been paying more attention to what I think of before I go to sleep and I guess have mini dreams which normally correspond to something I was thinking baout earlier in the day or something I did earlier.

So how do I trigger sleep paralysis with this?

      and Seeker

I normally wake up, go to school, come home, get on the computer , maybe play a game, watch tv, do homework and fall asleep.

I would have to say that I use logic in every day life more than most people.
