      Perfect WILD technique?

[disclaimer: I know, you ppl are sick of my endless post and topics about wild ]

Ok, seems like staying awake for 2 hours after getting up, and then going back to sleep may and will work for me.
I used to belive I will not fall asleep if I'll try this technique. (cause I tried it after 9-11 hours of sleep)
But now I realize, I was BLIND, as I'm approaching WILD almost every day during lectures!

Every day, after 1.30 - 2 hours after awaking, I feel strongest urge to go back to sleep. So I just close my eyes, put my head on my hands (to pretend, I'm studying something) and listen to professor. I feel the effects - I see hyphogolic (sp?) imagery, and prof's voice becomes distorted. The feeling is amazing, but unfortunately it's wrong place...

I always stop and pull myself out tho, as professors tend to get pissed, and take my sleeping personally.

So tonight I'll go to sleep early, will sleep for 6 hours, then wake up, read "exploring the world of lucid dreaming", use MILD techniques, and will go to sleep to have 2 hours of sleep.

OMG! all this time I was an inch away from learning to use this....

      any comments?

For getting back to sleep, melatonin might help...

No way - If you take melatonin in the morning, you will experience drowsiness and jet lag WHOLE day. Which = hell if you have to perform work/study.

Really? Damn. Getting back to sleep is a problem for me.

Would taking at say, 2 AM still pose that problem? Or is it too late in the night? I'd have to go to bed at like 9, but it may be worth it.

      Ev,
Come to think of it, I do exactly what you do.. can't describe it any better. Sitting in class, head against the wall, it all starts... the HI, and the HS (sound), but I always stop myself cause I realize I am about to fall asleep.. but now knowing what it is, I am going to concetrate and try to WILD next time.... Thursday morning in Economics class =)

i have trouble disciplining myself for all of this...at least it comes somewhat naturally.

Ev, I try to stay awake in lectures lol, but I always fall asleep reading books for them! I always wake myself up though as I need to read not dream at the moment. Maybe its just the feeling of boredom that makes you drift off? maybe recreating this feeling you could do it anytime.

It't times like these where you wish you could be a sleepwalker, so you can WILD during class and still be moving and getting up and raising your hand and shit. The profesor might buy it and think you are just stoned....
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

you have to train your teachers/professors into realizing that you're one of those students that sleeps in class and nothin doin is gonna change that...then you can sleep in class all you want
