Woo-hoo!!! Hypnagogic imagery at last in WILD attempt! YAY!

      YEP!!! I got hypnagogic imagery.

In my fifth(or sixth?) attempt, I got up at 5am, went back to bed at six. I stayed there until about 9am with nothing happening other than sleep paralysis and really deep, but conscious, sleep. All the usual shit was happening, like lights in my eyeballs, tingly sensations... I also overcame a problem I was having with my "sleeping position" which I think has been impeding things. Body was aching hardcore for some reason, but that was okay...

THEN, at about 9am I think...

      I SAW THEM!!!

Two albatrosses, both with fish in their mouths, fly overhead!!!! It was so random, and I only saw em for a second, but I'm pretty sure they were albatrosses. I also got sounds as well, I can't remember what they were, but I don't THINK they were from the waking world...

COOL!!! My WILD attempts are making progress!!! I think that last one may have worked if, by the time I got the imagery, I had already had so much sleep...

I'm still working on dream recall. Got one dream last night, but it was SO vague I barely remember it at all. Still... 2 dreams last night, one tonight... I'm really pleased!

Also, if any experienced dreamers with a few WILDs under their belt could sorta describe what they see as hypnagogic imagery, I would be appreciative... thanx!

gratz man, doing better than me. And welcome to another kiwi, there's a few of us around but not many, and i haven't been very actively gettting into LDing lately. Just started back at uni; been quite busy. I know there's pretty much no excuse for not trying to Ld though, cuz the only time it takes is when you're asleep anyway, or getting ready for it.

I must be on my way toward lucidity too! I've been attempting WBTB & WILD for the past week or so and I'm begining to see objects sort of "pop" in front of my mind's dream eyes. Unfortunatly, when these objects appear, I focus my attention on them and they quickly disappear. I'm having difficulty acknowledging but not focusing on these objects.
      No LDs yet.

i think the best way of describing what to do when you 'see' things is this, can't remember who i heard it from though: passive observation

Just sort of be aware of the things passing in front of you, without staring at them, or ignoring them completely.
