Who needs techniques when you've got RC's?

I can honestly say that doing all these techniques I've read about on this site hasn't really done much for me. During my 1 week of Winter Break in February I set my cell phone alarm clock so that every hour of the days I would do a RC and did this only for 2 days. I had 8 LDs that week and haven't had one since than which is 1 month.

Sure, doing some WILD techniques got me to the sensations and partly HI, but never past that although may have had a little part in the week I had 8 LDs but I think the RC's were the main cause.

The purpose of RCs is to check if you are in reality instead of in a dream. By doing it enough during each day, one hopes that he starts to do them in dreams as well hence bringing forth LDs. There is no law saying that one must do the WILD techniques, MILD techniques, etc. They are merely just supposed to increase your chances of LDs occurring.

Although some of you may disagree with me, I feel that at least for myself that performing RCs is the only thing that is needed. Although since I've just been in this business since Jan. 26, 2006, I suppose there's lots of time left for this opinion to change. LOL.
Wait!! .......Am I dreaming right now?
      LDs: 8
Most LDs in one night: 3

It's time for a new beginning...

I agree, so far my RC to WILD ratio is 5/1. But I suspect it has something to do with my not being very good at WILD.

I think RCs are very helpful but not enough to go on alone. This may just be me, but I use MILD and RCs. I think that using RCs is good, but not necessarily failsafe. This is why I use MILd so that I'll remember to use RCs and then become lucid. That's what methinks

Everyone is different, so who knows what works best for individuals. Personally, RCs work best for me. They are easier to use, and more conveniant, to boot.

Besides WILD, I think that a lot of techniques listed under the tutorials are a way to remind oneself before going to bed of their intentions, whether it be a reminder to do RCs or to just put yourself in the right frame of mind.

It's equally important to do RCs correctly. If you can get yourself to truly question what's going on around you on a regular basis when you're awake, you're *pulls number out of thin air* 75% there. As everyone's saying, it just depends on the person.
