Sure they do. The idea is to make a habit out of doing a RC every time a certain event happens. Like whenever you enter your bedroom or whenever you see yourself or a certain person. Then this habit should carry over to your dreams, making you realize you're dreaming. |
|
A dream
is a reality that others cannot see.
Reality
is a dream you share with others.

just about all of my 7 LDs happened b/c of RCs |
|
Wait!! .......Am I dreaming right now?
LDs: 8
Most LDs in one night: 3
It's time for a new beginning...
If you don't perform RC when you become Lucid you are more likely to loose lucidity and continue with your normal dream. I regularly have FAs so I always RC whenever I wake up, the majority of the time I haven't woken up at all. |

Are you dreaming or awake?

For me, I usually do not attain lucidity by using RCs.. it's more of a "wait.. wha.. oh, I'm dreaming!" |

I rarely do RCs to gain my original lucidty, I only use them If I have been luciding and I wake up(to catch FAs) |

Cheis. Dailo.
It's tough to bring someone back that never really lived.
The more I see other PPL's opinions, the more I realize I have been relying on cues more than RC's... |

RC's are a great way to quickly gain lucidity. I find after I have gained lucidity its always good to perform a reality check while lucid to re affirm to yourself that you are infact dreaming. It sucks when you begin to forget you are dreaming and fall back out of lucidity. |
|
RCs are very useful, the "I'm dreaming" feeling may not always be there and it is unlikely to hit you in the middle of some routine activity... |

Doing RCs seems to be dealer’s choice; some do and some don’t. I don’t’ do RCs in waking life, and I’ve never done one in a dream to become lucid. It happens either spontaneously or thru dream signs. |

Every .00022 seconds, somewhere in the world, a lucid dreamer uses the can.
the reality checks - in my opionion - is just one way of knowing the difference between when you are asleep and wake and having it 'play' into the other (the more lucid during the day, the more you become at night - if you become more lucid at night and it's an endless cycle that 'plays on itself' - like the opposite of insomnia. |
