      My Half WILD (update)

      I have been trying out WILD a few times now and It is very interesting, It is very similar to meditation that I have been doing for quite some time now. What seems to happen is that I do my counting to 100 to get relaxed and that goes very well and then after a while I get that familiar heavy numb feeling all over my body. I have been doing my WILD laying down on my bed, where as when I meditate I do It in the half lotus position (sitting up, cross legged) IT seems that the longer I do it while laying down the heavier and more numb my body feels. I do also get the slight sensation of lights behind my eys, much like the light you see after looking at a bright light and then closing your eyes. I get the feeling of complete relaxation and also a tingling WOW sort of feeling flow over me. But that seems to be it. I can let my mind wander in this state and also remain conscious the whole time. It is really relaxing and feels great to just lay like this for hours. However It doesn't go any further. Even when I don't really care and am not trying to go further but just relax, nothing happens. So I am not really sure what tyo think about it. But it feels good anyway. If anyone has any advise then please let me know.

      Keep trying. If you do this long enough, you'll get the hang of it. WILDs are very hard to accommplish, and sometimes it just doesn't work. I don't want to discourage you, but why not try a different technique? Some are more suited for some people than others. You will be able to WILD, but know that there is still a ways ahead before you before you get anywhere. Just be patient and calm.

      When did you try to WILD? was it like some sort of a relaxation you do in the afternoon? From your description, it doesnt look like you had SP or HI. Next time try to wake up after 5 hrs of sleep, then do it. You seem like you have some experiences with body relaxation, so you shouldnt have trouble succeeding in it. So post any results here!

      How do you stay there for hours? My mouth/throat bothers the hell outa me and i gotta swallow and it skrews me up...I tryed it w/ my mouth open not using my noise to hopfully dry out mouth and not have 2 swallo and in around 30minutes my mouth was SO dry...any advise? Im bout to dry gargalling salt lol. Its anoying bcuz the swallow always skrews me up...last wild i did (i only do like satueday, and sunday mornings, but iv only tryed 2 wilds, this was my second try) in 30minutes i could feel myself moving (i was on a ship) i wasnt in the dream yet but i could feel myself rocking back and fourth -->The effort from the swallow skrews it all up.

      Well, man. I breath through my nose. Shut my mouth and when I need to swallow just go ahead and do it. I had a very dry mouth too but to be honest, I was so conscious of everything going on around me It didn't really matter anyway. I do think that if you just relax and let your self swallow, ignore it and just get on wilth relaxing, it should feel fine. It is only a problem when you tell your self " I will not swallow, I will not swallow" "damn I swallowed" Too much focus on it. Just decied to always get comfortable and just put it out of your mind.

      I have been trying to WILD for the last couple of days and I couldn't get any further in the relaxation phase than just feeling numb and really relaxed, seeing a small amount of those lights behind the eyes and thats about it. However last night I went to bed late and was very tired, I spent ages in the chat room I layed down and started to do a relaxation technique for my whole body, then I just sort of focused on the lights behind my eyes but tried not to concentrate too hard on them. After a really short time, like 6 minutes, I started feeling like I was laying on a raft and I was in the middle of the ocean, slowly rocking left and right, up and down. IT felt really really nice and relaxing. I stayed really calm the whole time but after a little while the feeling stopped and I just sort of took my attention back to the lights behind my eyes. Then I don't know what happened because I fell asleep, I tried again in the middle of the night and fell sleep as soon as I started to do WILD. For some reason I have not been able to stay awake while doing WILD.
      Does anyone have any advise?

      hey, how u doin?

      I am just wondering, maby your not in REM? If you try to Wild when you have been awake forever your slipping into a deep sleep your not sliping ito REM. Also when you wake up do something, get your brain stimulated so it will be easyer to stay awake. If i was you i would set my alarm 6.5hours after sleeping wake for 60minutes chill in DV or sumthing then try wild. or if you wakeup from a dream and try wild that would be better probably.

      That rocking and swaying sensation means your getting very close. That happened to me today after a WBTB. Strangely though, it was after HI, which a had never gotten before. I saw these white teeth floating through blackness, and I heard voices screaming "It's all your fault!" and "How could you do this to me?" Sure, okay, a little wierd, but afterwards, I got that rocking sensation, so I went with it. I tried to imagine myself rocking farther and farther. I started feeling like I was going to fall out of my bed. Eventually, I even got the sensation that I was doing entire front-flips. I was intense! Then I felt my self spinning on my bed, and realized that I could even feel my feet sliding accross the blankets. I realized that I must be in my dream body for that to happen, and I got up and started my dream. Unfortunately, I kept opening my eyes, and it was making hard to move around my dream environment with the physical world right there in front of my face. I was trying the first lucid task when I woke up. I need a mask.

      It sound to me like you guys are close than you think to a WILD. Keep it up, and go with that rocking sensation, it works!

      ShYne123, hi. man. I am doing great. I am very happy and enjoying life.

      So when do I open my eyes into the dream? If i am getting the rocking sensation does that mean i am dreaming then or do i have to wait for a while longer? Also when you get into your dream do you find that you can't hear the sounds of the outside world anymore?

      Well, like I said, I didn't move until I felt my feet sliding on the covers. Even then I didnt open my eyes until I was standing next to my bed. I think that once you feel you body actualy start to roll or slide around from the rocking, then it's safe to start the dream. I'm headed back to bed now for another round!

      Hmmm, i think ima try my third wild 2morrow morning, ill post up here results. Ima try and be alseep by 10 up at 3 then if when my alarm wakes me up if i find that i dont remember any dreams and im prolly out of REM ima set alarm for another 30minutes, and see if i wakeup in REM then. (once i get my timing right this will be much easyer) Then ima play a little Reality check game, then read a lil Dv's. Then right b4 i try my wild listen 2 some holosync/bineral beats for relaxation, then for OOBE and LD-ing. Then try my WILD. (i gotta plan things out or else they dont get done) ->Of course there is a chance ill set my alarm wrong (happens like 25% of time) And jus wake up pissed off and having 2 go to church w/ no wild time lol.

      -->I want a temperpedic bed. I can fall alseep whenever i want now, but i think this bed would be so nice for WILD...the non-movin prolly wouldnt bug me at all, unfortunatily im not rich :-p , maby ill save and buy a bob-o-pedic lol.

      well...i got up in time and all but i had a email from my dad wich took me longtime to read and respond too...basicly took me the hour..after that i was a little too emotionaly skrewed up so i just whent to sleep...but...i had two very long vivd dreams that i wokeup after for the firsttime. I think the only way i can wakeup after dreams is maby if i do WBTB...or maby i gotta jus sleep more on weekdays.

      My WILD's have not been going going to well, I get relaxed and then either fall unconscious or I go somewhere for a while and I am not sure where. hhaaha. I did a WILD today and after ten mintues getting relaxed I don't know what happened, I just dissapeared for about one hour, ( haha just fell asleep I am sure) and then suddenly I was back in my relaxation phase. However it did not really feel as though I had been asleep, it felt slightly different. Anyway so I came to the conclusion that WILD is not going to work for me right now. I am not one for giving up so don't get that idea, I think I am actually just too tired. I prolly need to get some good sleep. then when trying WILD I wont fall asleep so easily. But regardless the fun has been zapped right out of WILD. You know what. The first time I had a lucid dream was the first night that I read about them. I had such an excitement and I felt really strange, the dream world seemed really new and refreshing. I think that I should get back that feeling (I am certainly not getting it with WILD, it seems I am trying too hard and he fun has gone) My original method was just a little reality checking, thinking about the weird feeling of waking up up in a dream and then falling sleep telling my self "the next time I am dreaming I will rememeber I am dreaming" I think that is a DILD technique, what ever. Anywho, I love you allllllllllllllllll!

      ha yeah, well..i just got surgery on my foot (im all skrewed up this is gay, lol) -->had a trapped nerve. So ima be able to get all the sleep i want (no school) ima try WBTB then mild for a while..i did WBTB properly once and had the sickest dream recall..well yeah man...WILD is the hardest techquiq (so iv herd) i think they will be easyer once we master MILD...and jus have more exp w/ LD's. Also...i kinda feel like im directly talking to you cuz were the only ppl keeping this post alive :-p so if you want i can send you this sound track i have...i dont think its a bineral beat (i have thoughs too) but its ocean crashing and a few weird sounds and some guy telling you your dreaming, and to do RC's. I have accuily only used it one time (for sum reason i keep forgeting to use it when i wake up) but that one time i had a really sweet DILD. warning though, it kinda sounds scary. lol --> my AIM is G4nGsta 44 yahoo is m4a1_s1ghtz if you want me 2 send you file. for using this i suggest you wake up then put it on and go right back to sleep..its kinda hard to fall asleep with it but if your awake for 1minute its no problem.
      I kno im nub too, but its worth the struggle of experiments and trials, once you master it, its like living a second life..peace.

      Hey, it is great to talk to you on here, even when no one else is taking any notice. I appreciate your help with that sound recording thing but I don't really feel comfortable using those things. I like to use my own mind to work this stuff out. Thanks anyway, that is really nice of you, man. I would love to add you to my yahoo.       Yeah its cool, well i dont got MSN so jus -pm- me ifever ur on yahoo or w/e. I dont spend much time on them anyways though i jus check DV's every few hours lol.

      Im going to try WBTB tonight but if when i wake up my foot hurts badily im jus goin to go to sleep not gunna risk not being able to fall back. Lol wow..i was gunna ask if you wanted to try waking up same time into sleep and doing same routine and seeing if we got near same results --> hoping u saw this b4 u slept but its like 2in morning in england lol, my bad. forgot bout the anoying 5hour differance :-/

      oh lol. Yeah my foot ant that bad lol i know the Codine is skrewing w/ me though. Last night i did that techquiq and only had one dream (un normal) the dream had No dream signs (un normall) And it was about a giant knife fight in a haunted house, it had more blood and guts and dead people then i have ever seen in any movie, and iv seen alot. I normally have kinda of erratic dreams w/ mildly happy endings not a huge blood fest LOL.
