Thread: Whats your favorite way of attaining Lucidity and why?

I haven't really got to that part yet But right now I'm just trying WILDs and reality checks...

I like WILDs because I have the most success with them.

I've had the most success with WILDs too, and I haven't got very far

I get to the dream, but once I realize im in a dream *boom* instantly wake up or do something stupid like jump up and fly...

I think the best way is anyway that works heh.

The only times i get lucid is in states of terrible surroundings.

I have to be scraping the surface just to lucid. Its sad really.

I usually have to have about 9 or 10 hours of sleep.

Usually it happens on a saturday morning, i have to wake up after 7 hours of sleep, and stay up for 30 minutes, and i fall back to sleep, and I am pretty aware of everything because my brain has had tons of sleep and REM. I use no induction techniques, but i try reality checks sparsly throughout the day.
My dreams just FEEL different from REALITY, there is a distinct difference between worlds. And they are most likely in 3rd person.

I like them all! But I will say dreamsigns because that is how I become lucid most often.

I havent gone lucid either, but yeah WILDS

I use MILD technique combined with wake/back to bed method. Sometimes when i am using the MILD technique, it results to a WILD. My goal now is to master WILD, because i think that it is the best method for high lucidity dreams.

I like Wilds because of the experience of drifting to the dreamstate and being fully aware that you are.. Extrodinary feeling. One cannot put into words.

I really love the effects from WILD.

but I get most LD's from MILD.

That is why I love them too...

When you completely stop feeling your body, its like for a moment you seize to exist and you are nowhere, and there is no such a thing as mass or time. It is really a spiritual experience. Then you are already aware you are in a dream as soon as it all materializes, and it is really vivid and real.

The best LD I have had was with WILD.

i thought it was supposed to be scary?

It probably is scary the first few times you do it, I read that in some cases you'll feel that you are about to die

I like when i use common sense to figure out i'm dreaming, like i'll be at school then i'll realize "wait a minute it's a holiday why am I here?"....it makes me feel so smart

It is scary....You feel things you have never felt before, it is a really strong experience, but you must know nothing will happen to you and you must embrace all that you feel. When I do that, and I continue to be calm and focus on my breathing, I really feel like it is a spiritual and enlightening experience. You really learn a lot about yourself and the hidden abilities of your mind.

It's so bizarre how different types work for different people.
WILDs dont work for me. Someone told me I was trying too hard
and suggested I try the Chakra method.

It works but shortly after realising I'm dreaming, I wake up.

Maybe I'm still trying too hard.



Abstract Dreamer

I find that if I try too hard to get a LD I will never get one. I normally get them when I don't try at all and don't think about it.

Done 3 wilds, but only 1 suceeded into an actual dream.. (once woke up by sounds from my surroundings and once by something like old hag)
