I compare clocks with my wristwatch - also works every time! |

Looking at my hands. In dreams my hands look always freaky and have additional fingers. |
My usual way is to hold my nose and breathe but a new way that I have found is to try to talk with my mouth shut. |

I perfer just to look at my hands. It's pretty much certain that they will look wierd, ans also if you are doing RCs in real life it doesn't seem so strange to other people. |
In my last dream I was in a swimming pool. I was running big circles on the bottom. I was wondering how I could hold my breath and have such a good grip of the floor. DOH! Maybe I even thought about dreaming but came to the conclusion of not dreaming lol And I thought that breathing underwater was a good technique... |

Clocks, watches, nose plug, and finger thru hand. |
Because flying comes easy for me in my lucids I tend to prefer that. |
Plugging the nose is my fav. It feels so weird. Trying to read something also works good for me too. |
I haven't failed
I've just found seven thousand three hundred and eighteen ways that don't work.
Well... Nose is the most sucessful. That's pretty much fact: almost everyone says so. It's also randomly gotten me lucid a few times too, including my first ever controlled lucid which I had a few days ago; so kudos to it for that. |
I always look at my hands. It also makes the dream so much clearer. |

I don't like to use those techniques, because they have failed too many times . Just looking around and ask myself a few questions (does this situation makes sense to me? Are the surroundings right? Are these people at the right place here?) works a lot better for me. |
So far the only one that has worked for me is the nose pinch one, it feels weird breathing through a blocked nose. |
Recent Dream journal note : I was swallowed by some kind of sea-snake thing
I do the finger through hand first, but then always do nose one and it never messes up, so ill say thats my fav |
Cheis. Dailo.
It's tough to bring someone back that never really lived.
I look at the object for a second time. If it has any change then I will proceed with the hand looking and finger counting RC. |
My usual technique is trying to remember where I've been and what I've been doing for the last few minutes. Where have I come from and how did I get here? Am I in my normal place, doing what I normally do? This is fast, effortless, and capitalizes on the fact that memory is defective during dreams. Another technique I may use is trying to double a two or three digit number. |
After realizing that I am dreaming, I should do a physical reality check. Else I will not become lucid. My mind will find some reason to support the fact that I am dreaming and I will take it as a usual thing. Physical reality check is a must for me. It also helps to improve the level of lucidity. |
