      so close.........

      hi, how is everyone today?

well I think I so so nearly did it this morning. Last night I had been speaking to a friend who was visiting about lucid dreaming - I showed him my book, he talked about how he has flying dreams and can go back to the same dream after waking etc. (sounds like he may have a natural knack, eh?) and that perhaps primed my mind for it (cos lately I haven't been recording my dream journal, so it can't have been that). I woke up early this morning as we had a delivery, and then went back to sleep, so this must have happenned about 9.30 or even 10 this morning. I was dreaming away, and then I kind of told myself in the dream that normally I bumble around in dreams and play a passive role. At this point I seemed to play a few "scenes" of random happenings, almost as though they were examples to back up my point...... and then I knew that I could have a lucid dream, and willed it - I was still dreaming, but now in my bed, and I leant backwards over the edge of the bed which pushed me into a LD where I was flying!!!! It was very brief, and I remember having to do it by will, and having to concentrate........ everything around me was white, and I was coming into a lucid state, when my husband's snoring woke me up Ah well. The point is I was so nearly there (yay!!). I know that I was dreaming, yet I was in control somehow of playing around with the images, like the "examples" (e.g. man in bowler hat walking down street), and just knowing that I could do it, and being confident, and feeling quite euphoric and happy. Woohoo!!!!!!!!

Roll on tonight (although I bet there's no more action for another week or so!).

      Sweet dreams

hehe, she keeps doing that to people.

I wonder if I can officially say that I lucid dreamed........ I can't believe the timing of my husband's snoring

But I think I must be getting somewhere.

ps do you think this is strage: I dreamed about making cake, a dilemma whether to make sponge cake with jam and cream, or fruit cake. I was stirring mixture in the dream and ate some wedding cake to help me to decide. Well in waking life, (the next day, yesterday) I went round to a friend's house and she said "do you want to help me and my little boy make cake?", which I did, and she had a very similar dilemma about whether to make fruit cake or sponge cake, saying that she could use some squirty cream with the sponge cake.

Later, in the pub, we were talking about piercings, I was describing all my old piercings (I am no longer pierced) and we were talking about tribesmen who hang themselves up by hooks through their skin (and other organs!) - so my friend Linda says "no way that's so weird - I dreamed about women hanging themselves up from hooks through their nipples (owww) last night".

I know, lots of coincidences, but freaky all the same!

      Freaky!!

I know about snoring!!! There have been so many times when my wife would snort, or roll over in bed and break my concentration.

One time last week, I was in front of a mirror having loads of success, and my wife turned over and woke me up.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

oh no but you've gotta love them though! Of course, we could just turn into hermits and live in caves - nobody would disturb us then......... although it could get a little lonely!
