      Wow, It Really Does Work!

      Wow, is this real, is this even happening? Third lucid as of June 9. What did I do? Self-suggestion, it worked like a charm. Before I went to bed I had Tang orange juice and a bar of chocolate. When I got in bed I said to myself, "I am going to notice I'm dreaming." 3 times and then I fell asleep.

      Self-suggestion really works, and it's so simple! Try it and see if it works for you, it gave me my third lucid!
      Success comes to those who are not afraid of failing.

      Don't mistake self-suggestion for force of will / intent.
      Self-suggestion will fail eventually as you leave the possibility for failure at hand because you are suggesting, not commanding.
      You have the needed motivation for lucid dreaming so using will power to achieve it must be simple for you. Keep it up and don't get lazy.

      Yes. This is true, as I discovered last night. I told myself very sternly I would realize that I was dreaming, I really believed it, and it worked. (thank you tehownerer).

      The probable reason you had a LD is because of the chocolate, which contains caffeine and theobromine. Many people report LDs after ingesting chocolate or chocolate milk.

      yea i noticed that the force of will is strong.. for example:
      a couple nights ago i told my self i WILL AND MUST wake up at 4 and try a WILD. so i went to bed and set my alarm clock just in case it didnt work. and so then when i fell asleep.......

      (suspense)..
      ..
      ..
      I WOKE UP AT 4:01 AND MY ALARM CLOCK WENT OFF AT 4:03!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      it was so amazing so then i continued with my WILD attempt (2nd one)

      Self-Suggestion

      Cool. I'm trying Self-Suggestion tonight for the first time. I think it be the best technique for me.

      I tried MILD last night and it went crap. I almost immediatly fell asleep. I'm going to wait until I'm a lucid tutor before I try it again.
