      RCs and dream journals.

      Is there a good chance for me to become lucid in my dreams by just do RCs on the days and write down my dreams in my dream journal every morning? Or do I have to make WILD, MILD etc.?


      What is the best way for e noob? Do RCs and write DJ or try the WILD teq?

      Please I realy want to become Lucid and I were realy close 2 times..

      Right now im doing RC on the days, writing in my DJ and also trying the WILD technique.

      I do like this for WILD:

      1. Got o bed and lay down relaxing.

      2. relaxing my hole body, breathing very slow and calm.

      3. Starting to count, "1- im dreaming, 2- im dreaming".

      4. Then nothing happends! It felt like my legs dissapered but nothing more. The only thing is that Im very close to fall asleep and stop counting, felt like daydreaming, but when Im realise that and start to count again the "dream" just fades away. No pictures or something like that is there.

      What do i do wrong? How long do I have to count? I maybe count to 500 before giving up..

      I don't know about WILDing as I haven't tried it, though it is a more advanced technique and takes practice. What I do know is keeping a dream journal and doing RCs does work, as long as you consciously do RCs, and actualy ask yourself, "am I dreaming?", do RCs, and then using that as your reasons tell yourself you're not dreaming. Then say (in your head), "but next time I do dream I will become Lucid" (or something similar). This has worked for me when I do a lot of RCs, and I believe RCs combined with self-suggestion are the best ways to go as a beginner, and WILDing once you have a bit more experience with Lucid Dreaming, as while WILDing supposedly induces the "best", most vivid LDs, it is difficult to achieve. For WILDing I would do a search and check the tutorials, or if you're really having a hard PM an expert at it (like BillyBob_001). There are many techniques for it, and while I haven't tried it, I heard once you master it, it is the ultimate LD inducer as you can have a long, vivid, realistic LD anytime you want to.

      Well, Roller_girl, welcome to Dream Views.
      I think you should insist in doing reality checks and also keep your dream journal up-to-date.That is very, very important.
      How frequently do you remember your dreams?More than one a night?
      Real experts like tibetan monks say that you should question yourself for at least 21 times a day if you are awake or not for you to succeed in your attempts.
      Like anything you wanna do well, you should practice hard.
      I also do the counting techs and sometimes i abandon the numbers and just keep repeating "im dreaming, im dreaming...etc".
      I recommend reading La berge book "Exploring the world of lucid dreaming".
      Its an excelent guide for achieving lucidity and it covers lots of aspects and techniques (its really good).
      Another thing...i think meditation is a wonderfull tool for us to discover ourselfs.Go to bed and concentrate in your breath, allow your muscles to relax and let mind wonder.(not to much or you get lost in the imagery).Give this a try and i think you will have results.At least your recall will be better, and thats a step forward.You can have great vivid dreams just by doing this.Experiment with various techs and see which works better for you.

      I found that at least for me works better if i count im dreaming, im dreaming from 1 till 10.Then i start from 1 again.(1-im dreaming, 2-im dreaming, ......, 10-im dreaming, back to the begining).Its better then counting till 100 or much more at once.
      As i said previously sometimes i also abandon counting and keep saying for me "im dreaming" over and over.
      Autosuggestion can really surprise yourself.
