Do I REALLY need to get up at 4am??

      Hey there.

almost all the mothods i read include waking up in the middle of the night.
are there any that dont?? MILD seems to be the only one, but i havnt had it work
once... ive tried maybe 20 times....

WILD requires getting up in the middle of the night right? hows it differ from a WBTB?

could anybody give me a nutshelled step by step on MILD?
all the Docs on MILD are copied, and are all the same... wanting another approach.

      THANKS.
i have tried again and again not 1 lucid. i remember my dreams pretty well... still not 1 lucid.

I just wanted to reply on the header; you can get any where from 4-6 hours of sleep.
Some recommend staying up anywhere from 5, 10, 15 up to 60 minutes. I think it all depends on the individual.

It REALLY depends on the individual. I woke up after six hours last night and hung around on this board for an hour. I went back to bed just in time to hear the morning traffic outside my window. It took me an hour to fall asleep, and even then I kept waking. My dreams are still a little cloudy, but at least with this technique, along with nap dreams, I remember more senses. I can now remember taste and touch a bit easier.

Eggbert, WBTB is the only method that required waking in the middle of the night. It's just that to use WBTB effectively, it must be used with another method, not to mention that it makes other methods easier to induce.

A WILD is falling asleep straight into a LD. It's a form of meditating almost. WBTB is falling asleep into a dream in hopes that it will be a LD. Again trying a WILD in unison with WBTB, you'll increase your odds.

Damnit, it feels like I talk from my ass. I've read and learned so much, but I'm still very inexperienced.

so is it possible to WILD straight from being awake?
i dont want to have to go waking up in the middle of the night for a LD...
what techniques dont require sleeping first? like so i dont have to change anything in my sleep schendule?
      thanks alot.

could anyone elaborate on the HIT method? ive only found vague descriptions
of it... seems like WILD to me.

any ideas what i should try for tonight?
i havnt gotten 1 lucid yet...
