Death is Like A Dream

So last night, I got shot from close range by a pistol square between the eyes. After an "orange" feeling emotion, the scene changed and I was in my room on my computer typing up my dreams, with poor formatting. It really confused me while I was awake, and remembering the dreams I was having.

Anyways, I was in a cafeteria after that, wondering if I was dead. I talked to a girl and asked her if she could see me, she said yes. Then I thought "Wait a minute, death is like a dream, that could just be me expecting that to happen". To see if I was dead, I stuck my finger through my hand. I did it two more times without it working.

I was about to walk off, then I remembered I was just outside somewhere, riding in someone's truck and other things. I did not go there physically, I was not dead, this was a dream. Lucidity set in, but I quickly forgot it as I went looking for something.

Long story short, I did an RC to see if I was dead, then I realized I was dreaming.

I was in a truck with this guy, I wanted to check out this girl outside the truck which happened to be his girlfriend, but I didn't know that then. He was parked right between a building and it's support pole, when I said "I can't see". He let me out of the truck, and he started swerving around wrecklessly like he was mad. Then I hear a crash, someone says "was that a crash? we should go check it out". We do, and at least five of his friends are walking my direction as I go towards where I heard the crash. The front one pulls out a pistol and blasts me without warning.

This topic reminds me somewhat of Waking Life. In one part there are two people talking in bed and they are talking about how in a dream time is different because 5 minutes could feel like five hours and they mention how one of them have heard that your brain still functions 12 minutes after you die and that in that time you could have life times of dreams.

I'd have to argue that point yellowknots, because you die when your brain 'dies'. If your heart stopped sure you'd still be alive for a few minutes but when no oxygen is getting to your brain you die. So your brain does not function after death.
