      Very quick WILD-inductions

I never really had a successful planned WILD, but I had several spontaneous and quick WILD-inductions leading to SP.

I'd like to collect some of your experiences in this regard to find out how much can be gotten out of them. I do think most people would like quick WILDs rather than spending an hour in bed, awake. So we could see what they have in common, how they can be approached etc. to maybe increase WILD efficiency.

Was it just luck (REM starting suddenly) or was there something special to it?

I was in bed, just awoke after 6 hours. Put on my sleepmask (very bright in my room, stupid sun) and went to sleep again (very sleepy). After maybe 5 minutes I passively observe all the crazy associations leading to my sleep onset. Then I notice the extreme relaxation and feel SP approaching and just believe myself into it by remembering all the previous occurences etc. So in as much as 5 minutes I was ready to enter a lucid. I didn't actually enter one because besides hearing many people screaming which was definitely a hallucination I heard kids playing and some adults. I wanted to see if they also were hallucinations; I awoke and they weren't, it were my loud as fuck neighbours.

Your timing is good for this question, I had at least one WILD and one MILD last night, in a monster LD.

      WILD
Call me strange, but I think the best way to enter a dream is to not invest any hope into it. I laid down as usual, and as I was about to roll over because I was uncomfortable, I told myself not to. In less than a minute, I was now numb and comfortable, and I felt a wave spill over my chest, alerting me that I knew I was close. Then a more static wave hit me where I heard the high pitched ringing. I knew it would be moments, and I just let it take me in. I didn't tell myself "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming ..." and I figured it out soon enough.

      MILD
This was a different story. As soon as I knew my lucid dream ended, I wanted back in. I focused right back in on the scene, and it took less than ten seconds, maybe as few as two, to get back into the dream.
