      ADD/ADHD, and attaining lucidity...

      Hi,

I was diagnosed with ADD and took ritalin for the better part of my life. Im off of it now. I got off it in 7th grade. 8th grade was horrible. 9th i started to smoke weed. That made a difference with my ADD, but then i had no motivation to do anything. I just stopped smoking weed (been a month out of 3-4 years of smoking. 2-3 of them, constant, everyday smoking) My question is, is there anyone in here with ADD, ADHD that have problems attaining lucidity, mainly through WILD, or incubation? Do you take ritilan, or anything else to keep it under control? Does it effect you in a positive, or a negitive way?

I don't have ADD/ADHD, but I have seen other people with ADD/ADHD complaining that they have major trouble getting Lucid, and that no matter how they try they barely get Lucid, but I don't know if it's medication related or not (I don't remember if they did or did not take medication, but I from what I hear ADD/ADHD affects LDing negatively. That being said, I wouldn't give up hope, as it is still possible to get Lucid, and even if you don't get lucid often it is definitely worth it.

oh my god, most deffenatly worth it. I wrote my first lucid moment in my dream journal and it was short, but very well worth the effort i put into it for the past few months. I am off my medication, and have been for 7-8 years, and i still have trouble. WILDing seems to be an unattainable goal even while using the WBTB method before hand. There have been a handful of things i have done to make my brain very scattered. It is easier to concentrate now though, since i know how to clear my head. I guess ADD thoughts just force their way through with more force.
