Do You Have To Be On Your Back To WILD??

that is my question..do you have to be on your back to WILD or can you just lay anyway you want, because laying on my back i can only do for like so long then i have to move cuz its not the sleep position im comfortable to, even though u really aint going to sleep..can u like lay on your side, stomach or anything else beside your back?

i heard that you dont have to. But most do because of the fact that it is indeed an uncomfortable position to sleep in. I have made attempts laying in all positions...

The first time I entered sleep paralysis, I was laying on stomich . I am way more comfortable with that position.

The whole point of laying on your back to WILD is because most people don't actually sleep like that. WILD isn't trying to fall asleep its trying to stay conscious until SP starts up.

But yeah, you can lay in any position to WILD... it really doesn't matter much (as long as you can stay conscious)

Being on my back doesn't really work well for me for a couple of reasons.

      1) I snore and wake myself up
      2) When I enter SP, my chin falls to my chest and snaps me out of it.

I;ve found that on my side works best and sleeping on my stomach works next best. Of course everyone is different. You will have to experiment and find out what works best for you.

      Good luck!

wait wait wait.... I thought WILDing was staying concious until you hit the REM sleep stage. So you mean to tell me that when WILDing that you know you did it properly when you are concious through the whole process up to the point where you dream?? I have been trying to fall asleep...

      XDD

if youre not conscious in the REM stage, thats normal sleep. WILD is staying awake for the REM ride

WILDing isn't about entering SP. And it is about falling asleep, what else? Choose a position you feel comfortable with. I'd rather fall asleep with good chances of becoming lucid than laying 2 hours in my bed like a total noob at LDing. And you should too.

Oh and staying conscious through the whole process isn't really gonna get most people anywhere. You have to let random thoughts appear to fall asleep quickly. If you don't, you'll just lay asleep.

The last two times I tried WILD I tried laying on my side. It was a bad idea because it was too damn comfortable and I just lost consciousness real quick. So for me, I will always be on the back from now on.

For me, laying on my side or stomach makes me fall asleep real quick (but also lose consciousness) because it's just too damn comfortable! So yeah, as everyone else said, laying on your back is used by most people because you wont lose consciousness that fast.

What I do is lay on my side for a bit, then switch to laying on my back, so I can enter Sleep-Paralysis quicker while on my back. Laying on my back is easiest to keep concious, but it also gets uncomfortable to me after 15-20 minutes.

ive been trying WILDs lately and ive fallen asleep on all my attempts...it depends on how tired you are to WILD thats why i don really favour it that much so when i WILD i usually get sum caffeine intake to help me stay conscience for the ride, but if u take too much the end result is a shitty nights sleep and/or a failed LD.

when i start to feel the buzz and hear the hiss i get too excited and wake up

does it take more practise or is there sumthing im doing or not doing

      help me
