      Thumbs up

when i close my eyes, laying in a comfortable position, i do not see a lot of the described stuff.

      i see the following:

a couple of seconds of colors on black background.

then, i see HI, but do not feel SP.

then the HI starts moving and i know it is not a dream but i try and say that it is a dream to try and take controll. i usually just totally wake myself up and give up.

      What should i do?

      Am I crazy?

Possibly just wait a while and not try to take control, because it seems trying to take control too early is waking you up. (though I'm not exactley an expert on WILDs, only had one in my memory)

Is it all you want it to be?"

Umh...I doubt even the Masters of WILD can get to SP in a few minutes...From my experience, it's mostly an experience of noticing the HI without actually focusing too much on it, and also trying to stay conscious by focusing on feeling your body and breathing.

Hehehe... I always feel the sleep paralysis shortly after I start WILDing, but I never see the Hypopottomaus imagery. Perhaps I do, maybe it is just not what I expect.

Ummm, as for you, wait till the HI starts to pull you towards it. Then you can believe it is a dream.

Yeah, a lot of people don't. DON'T worry about it. Some people don't get HI at ALL.

      i see the following:
a couple of seconds of colors on black background.
Coolies. Even though I haven't been able to make a WILD come out in a long time, over a month (I haven't been putting all that much effort in) I keep seeing faces as part of my HI. It's really annoying, for some reason, I wish the faces would just go away so I could see something more interesting.

then the HI starts moving and i know it is not a dream but i try and say that it is a dream to try and take controll. i usually just totally wake myself up and give up.

      Oh! Nononononononononono!

The absolute LAST thing you want to do when you start seeing HI is try to force it into a dream and pull yourself into it. You'll just end up making it all go away and stuff.

The key to WILD is to let yourself get drawn into a dream. You've just got to keep doing what you WERE doing. Watching the HI and just waiting. Eventually you should end up in the transition phase yourself. At THAT point you can start trying to "arrive" in the dream, but, for the luv, DONT try and force a transition.

Jeez, all I get is similar to what you get when you shut your eyelids really tightly. I will get patterns and they may or may not move, with minimal to no sp. Then I give up, roll over, and go back to sleep, unless I am really really lucky.
Tact is for people who aren't witty enough to be sarcastic.

Yeah, that was the only thing I get during some of my WILD attempts. Don't worry, though! In my first successful WILD, I had basically no HI. I just lifted up into the dream. You don't NEED to get HI. Some people just don't. It doesn't mean you can't still WILD. HI are just a symptom rather than an absolutely essential party of a successful WILD.

Thing is.. You don't start to see things just when you close you're eyes, nor do you enter the Transition phase in a couple of minutes. Be prepared to give up at least 30 - 60 mins of sleep.
As i did at my first WILD, it took me 1 hour to get to the Transition phase.

Read this Tutorial, from here you'll learn A lot of WILD'ing..http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=12621

      Good luck and happy dreaming.

It's because you gave up BEFORE the Inconsistent, spontanious Hypnagogia has FULLY Developed itself into a StoryLike, Realistic DreamScene. It will happen later so you'll have to stay concious longer. I've never once succeeded landing m,yself into a Dream Conciously, but as you keep Practising WILD you will See more advanced Hypnagogia, some of that seems to make some sort of sense for split seconds: DreamScenes, Faces, Voices and Sounds: That's usually what I get after a while. They are like Brief Flashes of ''Dream'' that will later develop into a ''Movie'''with a storyline and realistic enviroments.

You'll have to train yourself to maintain concious while achieving DreamState Fully. It's hard I know from my experience, but I'm moving closer to it. evethough it feels like inches I AM really making Progress with WILD.

Just try not to loose it that early into sleep yet.
Luminous Spacious Dream Masters That Holographically Communicate
      among other teachers taught me

not to overestimate the Value of our Concrete Knowledge;"Common sense"/Rationality,
for doing so would make us Blind for the unimaginable, unparalleled Capacity of and Wisdom contained within our Felt Knowledge;Subconscious Intuition.

wild is deffinitly different between people, but with practice you can get it faster. i recomend going to Lucid Crossroads, it has a ton of good information on WILD
as i was falling asleep last night, i said to myself, i will remember my dream, i will know i'm lucid, i will know i'm lucid, i will know i'm lucid. then i saw dinosaurs running at me and i said, "Holy Crap! i wish i was dreaming!"
