Last night was pretty interesting I had two LDs with great conrtol and vividness. Being new to this I was really excited to remember things while LDing. In past dreams I would kinda just go with the dream and try to use my mind to change things without much success. Last night I was able to remember to get a wand which helped out quite a bit; however changing the whole scence wouldnt work for me. I wanted to go snowboard but everytime I tried I failed. I mainly used the door trick (when I open this door I will walk out into Mammoth) I would envision what I was going to see and then walk through only to find I was still in a house.

But the thing that interested me most about these LDs was how they were induced. I dont remember waking up and trying to WILD but I think I WILDed to get into these dreams. I remember intense vibrations and a static buzz in my ears and then another set of less intense vibrations and my body would move on its own accord like I was going to roll off the bed. Realizing that I must be WILDing I told myself that I was dreaming and after the second set of vibrations were through I would open my eyes to see my room only differently arranged. After the first LD I started to wake up only to start a new set of vibrations exactly the same as the first. I then reopened my eyes to my room in yet another completely different arrangment.

So my question to all of you is did I WILD? Because I'm pretty sure I didnt wake up and then try to WILD I just started to feel these vibrations and my brain realized that I must be going into a dream. From dream to dream is this what normally happens? Has anyone experience anything like this?

I'm pretty confused as to what happend yet I was really excited to LD. The first LD was really long and it was really a great dream. I would appreciate any input, thank you.

Interesting, I had a similar sort of experience last night. Either I dreamt of succeeding at WILD... or I actually did succeed and forgot it(Not very likely, I had no intentions of WILDing when I WBTB this morning...) I think there's probably a 80% chance I dreamt of succeeding at wild... nevertheless I do remember how I succeeded, dream or not... so I will be employing this next attempt.

Sometimes WILDs just happen, and when they do they come one after another, so you can "chain" WILD until you successfully enter a dream. Also, if you experienced one WILD at any given night you are very likely to experience another. The first night I ever had WILD I had 2 of them.

About changing scenery - it is quite difficult to completely change the scenery, it's possible to change some detail, but to completely change one requires a lot of effort.
Like you I never had success with the whole "door" thing, spinning didnt work for me either.

I did some experiments with teleportation. It worked, I've used a technique similar to the dream reentry but from within a dream - I've imagined the new surrounding and shifted my attention into that surrounding.
If you will have another LD in the next few nights and you still want to go snowboarding, google a picture of the Alps or some other snowy mountain place. Look at the picture, get a hang of that place, imagine yourself in it. Use meditation/dream incubation on this image.

Next time you find yourself lucid, imagine yourself standing on that mountain with a snowboard either in your hand or already equipped. The image must be still with no movement. Focus on this visualization and shift your attention in this image. Let go of the dream around you and focus on the new dream.

This is a very complicated image you are trying to get into. There may be difficulties. I can think of a few - with a snowboard in your hand you may not be able to equip it or lose a good deal of lucidity fiddling with clamps and stuff. There also may be no snowboard, you may waste a lot of time summoning it.
Therefore if any of these things happen remember that you may glide on *force* alone. It is the most natural feeling - imagine blade or two points of force under your feet (same kind of force used for flying or levitation) so you are levitating a few inches off the ground, then maintain this force and glide down the mountain. By controlling this force you will be able to accelerate, deccelerate, make insane jumps, etc. Think of it as some kind of crazy rocket boots

Damn, all this talk of snowboarding makes me want to do some Maybe I'll try this tonight and see if I have any success. Sometimes I have the most beautiful and fun dreams of snowboarding, scateboarding and sufring... But I dont remember ever doing that lucidly.

Very nice! It sounds like a WILD to me. A great technique for changing the scene is to spin around really fast, and keep your mind focused on two things,

      1. Your destination,
      and
      2. You're in a dream.

If this doesn't work for you, a way to improve your way of going through a door is to not "picture" your destination on the other side, but to more KNOW that the door leads to where you want to be.

Ev your idea may work for me the first time that I WILDed I felt really cold this is what reminded me I wanted to snowboard so I thought about being in the mountains and surrounded by snow. When I opened my eyes I was in my room like I said but I had a big screen television. On the T.V. was a national geographic like show on about some snowy wilderness. At the time I thought great thats no help and tried the doors and etc. This would have been a good place to try had I known. Hopefully I will remember to try snowboard my next LD being that is summer here in California I miss that sensation of snowboarding.

Limitz your right I think I would get better results if I just knew that the other side of the door would be a mountain top. The 3 LDs I have had so far, including the 2 I had last night have been hard to completely control and I think its due to my mind not fully believing that anything is possible. I assume and hope that things just get more easier once I start to continuously LD and get more comfortable with the idea that just about anything I can think of is achievable.

Thanks for the help from the both of you.
