Last night's WILD attempt was awesome, even if I did fail. I need to ask a few questions about it, but first, here's a detailed report of how it went:

I got comfy in bed and began to relax. I started counting my breaths very slowly. My limbs started to get warm at 30. I continued to listen to the tinnitus, and at around 70, it started to fade away. Since 80, I could hear voices; it sounded like either a riot or a barfight. I stopped counting at 100, and I could hardly move my limbs; they weren't totally paralysed, I could move them with effort. After relaxing for a while longer, I got a slight floating feeling. Now that's were I can't continue.

      Now for my questions:

      1. Which way is it better to breathe: through the nose or the mouth?
      2. Is it better to keep your eyes closed or open while WILDing?
      3. Should you try to not think of anything at all while doing it?

      Thanks

      You were very close

Ok I've never done a WILD but have come close like you, so I will just offer the best help that I can.

Use your nose, it doesn't use as much movement.

Keep them closed, you wont get distracted that much.

Just think of WILDing and what your going to do in the LD.

      Hope that helps

Nice to see that you are getting closer, congrats
So you are trying it when you are going to sleep, not WBTB? I so far have only had any success at night because i don't have the whole Wbtb trained yet (amount of time to stay up, i usualy fall asleep insantly or just can't fall asleep till i give up ).

I've came to SP 3 times, but no further, so anyone answering this would be nice as well.
I relax on my back and wait untill i am thinking random thoughts and am close to falling asleep. Than i either visualize a part of my memory and try to really feel everything in that moment for example the desk, it's texture, maybe a smeel of an object etc. That helps me to think off the part that i'm falling asleep. Other thing i've tried as well is floating or sinking (moving sides doesn't work for me like someone said here on the forums). After an amout of time doing that, the focus suddenly shifts on to my eye linds (not intended) and when that happens, i just let it go and try to fall asleep as normaly to loose consciousness. Soon after that my whole body is like filled with waves of emotions and it starts beeping in my ears. After that i can't seem to transition into a dream, but like i said i've always done that at evening, not like WBTB.

      Any hints?

EDIT: Also, what is tinnitus? The internal ear beep sound?
