Ive been trying to become lucid in my dreams for a few months now and it seems that when it does happen it does so at complete random, i have had semi lucid dreams since my childhood but most consisted of nightmares. Recently ive been trying to attain full lucidity in my dreams and have had slight success exept for one problem there appears to be some presence every time that i intirprit as looking like the girl from the video game FEAR (a game which i never played just saw pictures of clips) and ive never actually seen "it". She started "appearing" in a dream i had in which i drive my car to what appered to be a old abondoned home with a cemetary in front, i proceded to walk twords the front door when my girlfirend krystal and her brother appeared out of nowhere and karl handed me a large bag full of marijuana at that point i relized i must be in a dream becuase that is very much unlike karls normal behavior (giving it away) i then looked back at my car and relized my flashers were on and when i started to think i need to turn that off they suddenly went off on there own, then i saw a cop car pull up behind mine so i bolted twords the houses front door and ran inside. Once inside i noticed the layout of the house was very odd. The room i walked into appeared to be furinshed like a old fashioned cabin, rectangler in shape with one door at the very end and i walked into the next room and for some reason felt a immense sense of panic and fear i relize the room was dark on one half and lite by a wood burning stove on the other with yet another door at the end for some reason i felt like there was somthing in the dark half waching me, anaylzing everthing i did so i ran to the next door and went in there the room was a bedroom with two wooden beds and a table next to one of them but the odd thing was my friend anthony was sitting on one of the beds looking at me as if he was expecting me to come in, i sat next to him and told him about the presence and i wanted him to help me leave the house, he then told me that he couldent becuase he wasent really there just a projection like a hologram, but he told me not to be afraid and it will all be okay then as quick as he appeared he was gone and on the table was a small metal pipe i relized i still had the ganj in my pocket so i packed it up and began to smoke. then i felt this incrediable paralyzing body sensation and i awoke feeling still paralyzed but it wore off after a minute or so, but ever since that experience she has been a constant theme in my lucid attempts always bringing that feeling of fear and hostility can anyone else relate or has had similar experiences.

I think you should post this in Dream Interpetation as this subforum is about getting lucid.
Anyway, next time you get lucid, just demand her to appear and explain herself!

Or you could ask your DG for help.

I think our subconscious likes to sabotage our lucid endeavors. My most intense LD was laced with a feeling of guilt and a need to wake up before I was late for work. I have not had a LD that complete sense. I've been trying find a way to convince myself that there is no need to feel guilty and that my alarm clock will surely wake me up. For me my subconscious feels like a separate entity that needs to be forced submit or perhaps reconciled with. Of course, I could be completely wrong. Though it seems to me that you need to over come your fear.
