      Cuddle Induced Lucid Dream (CILD)

To do this technique you need the following:
      - As many stuffed animals as possible
      - A loving for those animals
      - Soft, fuzzy blankets

      Step 1: Preparing Your Bed

Make your pillow comfortable, and layer the blankets so that they can touch your skin. Make sure they are large enough so you can cuddle them. Surround your body with the stuffed animals to make a nest.

      Step 2: Falling Asleep

When in bed (with the lights off), cuddle one (or more) soft stuffed animals and/or blankets. Think (but not too hard) on these fuzzy things. You might drift off into a semi-consiousness where you can see a dream but feel the animal you are holding. Shortly after that you will become fully asleep.

      Step 3: Becoming Lucid

When you enter the dream, more often than not you will have false awakenings, or be in your bedroom. If you did this right, your mind will search for the stuffed animals you should have bee clutching. They probably won't be there. This trigged my mind to do a reality check, and after it I became lucid.

This technique is really simple, easy, and fun! I mean, come on! You can cuddle a stuffed animal to induce lucid dreams!

Note: Be wary of False Awakenings. These will happen often.

      Hints:
      - Try not to move too much. Find a comfortable position in which to sleep. Side works best for me.
      - Go to the washroom before you fall asleep. Otherwise your mind may concentrate on the washroom rather than the cuddly animals and blankets

This is a new technique that works for me. I had 5 lucid dreams this week because of it! (Now thats something&#33

This may, or may not work for you. Its only been tested by me, for feel free to try it youself.

Hi Kyharr, sounds like what I've experienced last night....only mine is that I was thinking of the light and the penetration of the light through my eyelids which got me into a semi-concious state.... By the way I do have alot of softtoys but they are all pretty small...

      How cute.

As much as I'd like to try that, I can't. I don't own stuffed animals.

This reminds me of an LD tech. I read about a while ago, I think it was called create an LD talisman. Basically it was creating a dream talisman out of anything. (talisman meaning any object that can be made and employed to exhert a powerful influence over human emotions or actons)

The author used a simple stone as an example. He 'impressed' his desire to lucid dream into the stone repeatedly for a week. 7 days later as he fell asleep as he held the stone in his hand. The feel of the stone in his real hand carried over into the dreaming state. He opened his dream hand and there was that same stone. Upon seeing the stone he realized he was dreaming and was able to enter a lucid dream.

Your tech. is vaguely similar but much cuter and cuddlier. I'd seriously give this a shot if I had stuffed animals with which to attemp it. Id love to see if this works.

      Good question.

EDIT: He mean, if you enter dream world just after you going to sleep (midnight or whatever) or you have to woke up in the morning for example at 5 am and try it then.

LOL, fun LD inducing idea. I like the idea, and may try it some time soon, except my parents will probably think I am really weird for cuddling with stuffed animals while going to bed, so that's kind of a problem. Also my bed doesn't have much extra space, but still a cool idea.

you know... i'm thinking about changing the technique abit... but i'll need to test it out first...

so, what do you say about this:
-you throw all of the cuddly cuddly cuddles away, and i'll come to your home tonight instead
-remove the "don't try to move around too much" it'll get in the way of my own technique...

yeah... and i'll call it FILD... (finger-induced LD.............................................. O_o)

      "I don't own stuffed animals. "

well... I have a solution for that

I can tell, though that was a bit creepy... Anyways, if it helps fall asleep I will definitely think about trying that. Screw what people will think, I hate spending 30-90 minutes falling asleep.

      EDIT:
I was talking about the stuffed animals, not CryoDragoon

Do you think this would work with a dog sleeping on your bed? (trying to find the dog in your dream)

This technique sounds really cool, Kyhaar - thanks for posting it.

I don't sleep with any stuffed animals anymore, but maybe I can tweak it involve my hubby instead.

OK I bought a blue stuffed fish over the weekend, I will add cuddling this to my 7 or 8 other things I do everynight. Hope it helps. I will give you credit if it does!
