Hey all, I just came up with a new idea! It's very simple. You go to bed and don't rest your head on a pillow. Don't hate me for this, I know we all love our pillows! But I'm serious, comfort and dreams are linked somehow. I'm sure we can still sleep without them, we can still get comfortable, but perhaps a little less comfort can induce lucidity?

Can some of us members try this out, for a week or so, and post results? For anyone who is radical.

      I might do it myself.

Hi...yeah U might be right about being too comfy to have LDs,like the last time I tried with a dim light on...was difficult to fall asleep and I almost had one. But it only worked once and then there was the holding the ball thing which also made falling asleep a little difficult because U had to be aware of the ball and I ended up with some logic thinking in the dream .

Yeah, being too comfortable and warm may increase the possibility of a deeper sleep. You might even have less recall.

Ok, maybe the "no pillow" idea is a little too far, I don't think many other people would try it.

Does anyone have any other ideas of making sleep a little less comfortable? Has anyone else induced a lucid with the light on?

I remember couple of years ago before I knew of lucid dreaming I had a light hooked up to a timer that turns off at 7am. It gives off a click sound when it offs, and in my dream I could "see" the exact light in the room off and then I woke up...does that count for a lucid?or HI because I was on the brink of coming out of the dream About being uncomfortable I went to the extreme of wearing some 'sharp' objects on my thigh few months ago...I became too uncomfortable to fall asleep...LOL. It takes a delicate balance ( haven't found one yet) to get the state of not so deep sleep but enough to be concious and dreaming...overdo it and the dream suffers.

Hey, cool! But some advice - stop if you're getting a sore neck. It sucks bigtime.

One of the reasons I created this topic is because I seem to have dreams very quickly when I nap with no pillow. Maybe it can help for lucids...
