Ya I usualy can choose some of my dreams, becouse I always meditate right before sleep intill I lose conscousness and if I never lose conscousness then I'll meditate all night long and WILD repeatedly.
When I meditate I think about what I'd really like to dream about, and try not getting side tracked. works better if you wake up after 5 hours of sleep and start meditating again on something you want to dream about intill you fall asleep, make sure you wake up for at least 15 minutes or it'll be to hard to think.
