If I have a set sleep schedule, a stable one, is there a possible way for me to find out my REM cycle?
IF so how would I go about doing it?
Thanks
Imran

Your REM cycles will be every 90ish mins throughout the night, starting after about 2 hours of sleep, but it will take some experimentation to find exactly where they are.. One thing you could do is set an alarm clock at possible REM cycle times, when you wake up if you remember some dreams, you were probably in a REM cycle. Another thing you can do is tell yourself as you are going to sleep, "I will wake up at the end of every REM cycle. If it does work, and you wake up in the middle of the night remembering dreams, you have probably hit a REM cycle. Calculate how long after you fell asleep this is, and you will know your cycles. It is really a good idea to know this anyways, because if you get up in the morning on a REM cycle, instead of during a deeper stage, you will generaly feel much more awake and energetic throughout the day and feel better (plus you'll remember lots of dreams as you wake up), so timing your sleep to get up during REM is a good idea.

Using this method will i also be able to figure out how long they are
as in when they start and when they finish?

Well, you'll get about when they finish, and using the chart, you can figure out when they start by minusing the length from the (approximate) end time. There is no way to get an exact as it varies even night to night, but this should be good
