Keep a Dream Journal. Study the Dream Journal. What does the symbology mean to you? What is your Subconcious telling you? Become Familiar with the Dream World through the Dream Journal, it is a window.

Yeah. That's a great way to become lucid. Just like writing down your dreams every time you wake up in the night. That way, you won't have to do as much reality checks, because you're already telling your subconscience that it's time to be more aware of your dreams, which will lead to a lucid dream.
Sure, why not?

I find that occasionally reading over old dream journal entries can increase my chances of becoming lucid.

I've got to agree on that one. It switches your attention to your dreams and dream recall (you'll notice dream signs much easier too). Which is associated with lucid dreaming. That way, you've a great chance of becoming lucid.

Yes!

What it does is increases your conscious connection with dreams.

It's like reading books, the more you read books the more your imagination grows and the more you are able to "be in the story". So study your dream journals with this thought in mind.

Dream Journals will increase your awareness of the dream world, they are a window.

I agree that this is a major technique and should be used more often, last night I had 2 places in my dream were I almost became lucid (after reading through my dreams and recording some, after WBTB), in one I did become lucid, this technique is soppost to make your dreams more familier, once mastered it can make you have countless lucids, because you know what it's like to be in the dream, you know the diffrents.

I think more people need to work on dream recall.

Record in your DJ when you wake up, read what you read, and go back to sleep (if you are WBTB) or wake up and go about your day. Read your DJ during the day, meditate on the symbols and lessons you may be able to learn from your dreams. Read your DJ before sleep, and become familiar with the territory of dreamscapes.

If this is not added as an official Induction Technique yet I believe it should be.

It's more than to find dream signs.

It is to look into the dream world. From the waking world, dream journals are a direct window to the dream world. And the more familiar you are with the dream world, the more likely you are to gain consciousness within it.
