I switch beds frequently. Almost every night I cycle. Do you think I'm handicapping myself? I mean, what if my mind needs a constant enviornment. I dunno. The thought crossed my mind. Or what if you always LD in bed A, would it be possible to LD in bed B? Anyone have any experience? Thanks. |

Actually, I think sleeping in different places would improve your chances of becoming lucid. Since you are always changing beds, your mind won't fall in a pattern of knowing where you are sleeping, so it always stays more aware. |

I agree. Since I have moved into a new home my environmental change has added to some really unique experiences. |

since my parents are divorced I have two beds. I have LDed in both of them. Don't worry about it, you'll be fine. |

Interesting. I guess it makes sense, when I think about it now. Oh, and sorry about the repost. I did a search for similar topics, but didn't find yours. |

My girlfriend's brother's pyschology teacher actually told all the kids in the class that if they slept the opposite way in their bed that they would remember their dream from that night. Of course it worked for most people, but it worked because of the power of suggestion. Not really related to the point of this point, I know, but I thought it was an interesting story. |

Actually, the lucid institute did a study on one of the tibetan dream monks philosophy that you should sleep on your right side to LD, and the results were rather dramatic; three times as many LD's, I think it was. |
|
Wow, that's interesting. I usually end up sleeping with my stomach facing down and head to the side with an arm under. Essentially, I'm facing the same way as if I were sleeping on my right side, so hopefully this produces the same result...unless the armpit hypothesis is true. |

In response to whether beds have anything to do with LDing, I'd have to say it has to do with your comfortability factor more than anything. |
