I tried to LD for months, then took a long break, todays my first day back on the site in months.
just wondering how long did it take you Lucid Dreaming Masters out there to LD?
Also, has anyone ever tried hypnosis? Not like Audio Hypnosis that never dose anything to me (If you know of any real working ones please tell me) But like, paying a couple hundred to a professional and having him tell you to Lucid Dream, or to realize when you are dreaming, has anyone tried such a thing with results?
Also dose anyone use tattoos to RC? I wonder if you got a tattoo on your hand or something, you would see it all the time, and maybe it could possibily be a very effectfull RC (meaning you dont see it in the dream, or its distorted and "hey im dreaming!")

Hey, I actually remember you... I haven't been here for months either... I haven't had time to keep a dream journal and stuff... which means no LDs... I can remember my dreams at the moment of waking up but having not kept my journals I forget them right away... I have been planning on continuing it soon though... kinda as a new years resolution

As to your question: I have tried hypnosis... it hasn't had a great effect on my dreaming but I have definitely noticed a change though... This one time I listened to an "Erotic Dreams" hypnosis file and quess what? I got dream-laid big time! So that time it was really worth it.

I'd recommend keeping a good dream journal... do you do that?

My advice - Email or talk to GOTHLARK on MSN, or simply read his tutorial about HILD (hypnosis induced lucid dream) (but if you are that desperate, you should probably ask him some questions) His MSN address is brettedward -at- hotmail.com. Replace the -at- with @ (obviously but its just to prevent spambots from picking the email up). He might also use that email for just regular email. He pretty much mastered that techinque and he could tell you that hypnotisers are really not necessary. They simply guide you through self-hypnosis, and you are able to do what they do to you just by learning how to do it and saving yourself a couple hundred bucks.

Also, instead of a tattoo... buy a nice watch with that hundred dollars you save and the money saved from a tattoo... (or a crappy watch, whatever floats your boat) and do a reality check on that. Or, get a sharpie marker and write something on your hand. The advantages of these is that you won't regret getting a tattoo for the entirety of your life And remember that you'd have to remember to look at your hand How many times do you glance at your hand in your dream? I doubt you could remember a time that you did (at least, I can't). But yeah... tattoo is a bad idea... learn self-hypnosis (its pretty easy just ask gothlark on MSN). The great part about lucid dreaming is that you don't have to pay someone for it to be done. It's the greatest entertainment in the world... for free. You should try to keep it that way

I am nowhere close to an LD "master," I simply know a lot what I'm talking about because I've been at these boards for like more than 3 years (and read a lot about it and answered a lot of questions). I've had a good amount of LDs, though, and it took me a week of Dream journaling, very consistent and frequent reality checks, and lots of motivation and excitement to have my first lucid dream. It was a pretty crappy one too. Oh, and I should tell you that I had slept in a different house by going on a trip when I had that LD, so that helped (often changing beds can help induce an LD).

      Good luck!
