i feel proud of myself... FIRST WILD!

i basically followed billybob001's tutorial. I went to sleep at about 11, and woke up at 4:10 a.m.

then, after turning off the alarm, i did the counting exercise.

i got to about 300 or so, and felt a HUGE jolt. it was something i have never felt before.

after this, i opened my dream eyes and i was in my dream room... this was crazily vivid. i tried spinning to change the surroundings but it didnt work.

so basically, the dream was me just observing my surroundings and walking around trying to do reality checks. the one i found most effective was holding your nose and breathing through it
this is so amazing that i was able to WILD. not only did it break my dry spell, it gave me a new sense of confidence.

however, when i woke from the dream, i tried to WILD again but lost interest at the number 337 when i was counting. then i turned over and fell asleep.

does anyone know if two WILDs in a row can be achieved? when i woke up from the first one, i was WIDE AWAKE. like completely

thanks a lot guys. especially billybob001.

Haha, nice! Sounds like a slightly boring dream compared to what it could've been if you had more control! Next time maybe you should try visualizing what you want your dream scape to look like when you 'drop' into it.

I'm surprised it only took you 300 counts... at 250 counts I was only at SP! Oh, and by the way, did you ever feel any significant vibrations that made you aware of your sleep paralysis, or did you just become smoothly paralyzed?

Cool, keep it up.

hah thanks a lot. i will be trying it again tonight

yea it was a boring dream.. but i just woke up in my dream bed. hopefully i will be on a beach or something tonight lol

yea man only 300 counts because i was already relaxed and tired. also before falling asleep i tried the count thing also... only felt a few twitches. then i blacked out.

at 4 am i never felt any vibrations. and i was not aware of slipping into sleep paralysis.

although, i do know that if you don't move for a while, then you cant tell the difference.

good luck to you!

Good job!

Don't worry about not staying up for very long before you attempted it. Everyones different in this area of WILDing (some have to stay up for an hour, others for a minute)

Anyway, I wouldn't put too much thought into the boringness of the dream, it was your first WILD. You got to see your home from your subconscious' perspective, and you got to feel the vividness of the WILDing way.
Pretty productive if you ask me ()

About changing dreamscapes:

Theres quite a few ways to WILD straight into a different scene. some of these include:
• when you make it into a dream and find yourself on your dreambed don't get up. Instead, stay on your back with your eyes closed and start feeling a scene form around you.
• Get out of your bed and induce a false awakening
• jump through your wall into a new dreamscape
• reach up into the air (when your in the dream) and open an invisible door that leads to a new dreamscape
• spin
• When you feel as though your about to enter a dream start creating a dream scene (feel the wind on your face, hear the seagulls, taste the spray of crashing waves)
• As you lay down to begin a WILD close your eyes and convince yourself that your in another place (not your bed) in the hopes that you'll wake up wherever you said
• Use WILDing method no. 2 (this always makes you end up in a random environment)
As you can see, theres many ways to be somewhere new after a WILD. The most effective however, is to use the second WILDing method I list in the guide (the whole reason I thought up that method was because I was tired of WILDing into my room over and over)

Again, congrats on your WILD, hope you have many more
.

thanks much man i will do that

if i spin REALLY fast, do i get a better chance of ending up in a place I want? especially if i concentrate while i spin?

edit: also, how often can you WILD? if you do it right every night, can you get lucid EVERY night? thanks..

It's possible to wild several times in one morning in the right frame of mind, my record was 4 in a day, and one each day for the rest of the week.

So yeah it's consistent with practice (unfourtunatley I don't have the time for it except on holidays.)

Itches should just be ignored... gotta have a strong will to take your mind somewhere besides the itch. Last night I also had some itches while I was WILDing, and they were even there on the verge of entering the dream, but I managed to keep 'em dormant.

Hey, yeah I've had probably around 3, but none of them were good LDs. All of them simply involved me realizing I'm dreaming, and then instantaneously jumping up to fly, then losing lucidity and waking up.

And, no, I didn't WILD, heh. Check my post, by the way, it's got the details:

Wow, you guys have wild! thats so cool.

I am yet to have one. I think i have had SP, but that's about it. No visulisations at all, (cept for light/dark swirling in my eyelids. Not 3rd eye/minds eye i dont think.)

yeah i felt tingles and my legs went all heavy, but then it passed and i was like "awww is that it?" and rolled over and went to sleep.

The main problem is i get bored of counting. ALso it can be VERY hard at times to keep track where im up to, my mind wanders. So i only get to 200 or was that 150... maybe it was 300...

Any tips? ps, do you have to do the wbtb thing or can u do it before u go to sleep at say, 9.30 or 10.00 pm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When I count past 300 with still no major effects, I like to just stop and do an RC. Sometimes it works.
I had a strange dream last night...

Last night, I tried a WILD. I did the counting method, and got all the way up to about 800. I noticed that my body got heavy, but that happens even when I just sit somewhere and think about how my body feels. I stopped my attempt because my mind was getting incredibly cluttered with thoughts about whether or not I should keep on trying. When I moved around, my body was stiff, just like all my other attempts.

I don't know why, but whenever I try to WILD, I just get so incredibly bored and it feels like I just HAVE to move around. I guess tonight, I will try to WILD sooner, instead of staying up for a little bit. Hope it works.
