      Hi, im really sorry about making another WILDING post i feel kinda bad about it seeing as their are TONS of WILDing posts out there that are basicly douplicated and can just be searched to answer your question. Anyway, i have a problem with WILD, i constantily feel a strong urg to swallow, you dont notice how much you do it untill you try not too, anyway i think it effects my WILD maybe its why i cant have one?
      Also, i get SP relitivily quickily, maybe in 5-10 minutes, its a strong numb feeling, and my heart starts going a little faster, i dont panic though. (my heart used to race when i first started)
      Anyway, this lasts 5minutes tops and then i get nothing, i just lay there, i always wonder if i did something wrong and end up quiting after about 10-20 minutes after the SP is gone and im sitting there swallowing saliva like a idiot. Lol. (I might be getting somewere though seeing as lastnight after my SP i had a HUGE surge of movment like electricity hit my arms and my shoulders jumped up fast in the "shoulder shrug" weight lifting motion.)
      (BTW i searched this topic, becuase i remember seeing it somwere months ago but i cant find it anywere)

      i think you need crazy concentration. swallowing is ok. when i WILDed i had to as well and it didnt affect me. good luck to you!

      Hey shyne, i have the same problem. I get bored of counting and i dont see any hi. Tonight though, im going to try and visualise a scene, and see if that works. Sometimes i can hear songs in my head really clearly, kinda cool till i realise im hearing them, then they go away.
      Spose i just gota keep trying.

      Maybe after the SP goes away, try doing an RC. You might just be dreaming without realizing it&#33;

      Swallow if you have to, just do it and go on with your WILDing. Don&#39;t let your mind keep focusing on the fact that you have to swallow.

      I have done RC&#39;s after the SP goes away im deffinatily not dreaming yet, but thank you alot for the advice.
      And person you, you make a good point, practice makes perfect just got to keep trying.
      And squared, ill try and not focus on the swallowing and let it naturally happen, (try to)

      Your music is HH (Hypnogogic Hallucinations), which is like HI except it&#39;s audio. So rather than seeing HI, you probably hear stuff. Keep in mind not everybody sees HI.

      Maybe if you have HH with music/other audio you could try and convert it and build it up into a scene?

      Swallowing shouldn&#39;t really effect WILDing that much, and won&#39;t affect SP at all if you&#39;re in it, maybe just disturb you a bit mentally. Maybe you should (which is what i&#39;m going to start doing) start doing it more naturally - ie. I don&#39;t know if you&#39;re thinking about it, but I definitely do, and this is one of the biggest things that disturbs me&#33;

      You might be refferrin to my thread.
      I had this exact problem and psoted it up on here
      someone who ahd enver ever had this problem, after reading my thread started to experience it and psoted a separate one
      the best thing really is a week or so break form WILD attempts
      when you go back to them again, youve forgot all about your swallowing problem

      Ha sorry if i did, but i had this problem like 5months ago before i stopped tring to LD and i still have it now that iv picked it back up for new years :-)

      I can often measure my progress with things like swallowing. I know that if I&#39;m on the right track...I won&#39;t need to swallow. But the minute my mind jumps off track and I come back to reality a little bit, I get the urge to swallow...and I know...that it&#39;s going to be another few minutes before I can get back to where I needed to be. Once you&#39;re in SP you won&#39;t need to swallow. But sometimes when your mind starts getting a bit excited, and causes your heart to race, it brings you out of SP and causes you to swallow. 15-20 minutes? I say you need to practice some patience. Everyone is different some people can WILD instantly depending on the circumstances...others can do it in 20 minutes...but when I am making a conscious effort to WILD it usually takes me at least 45 minutes to enter an LD. So...patience&#33; Now...I have alot of instant, or unintentional WILDs if I am woken up by something at an ideal moment in my sleep cycle. Like a cell phone ringing at 5am or something. And when I close my eyes to go back to sleep...I go right into the vibrational stage and am lucid in seconds. If you can figure out when the best time in your sleep cycle is...when you&#39;re dreaming the most...and set an alarm or something to either wake you up or trigger lucidity...you could be alot better off. Timing is very important.
