I definitely know the sensation you are talking about. It's like trying to run underwater... like in slow motion. |

Dreams, for me, often lack balance. And sometimes when I try to run, I simply... can't. Do you know what I mean? It doesn't seem to feel like actual running, and I can never run as fast as it feels like I should. My legs feel weird? So for a new kind of RC, I've been trying (in addition to plugging my nose, an almost foolproof method in my experience), whenever possible, to walk and run around, jumping over small objects. Though this isn't the most practical in public or at school, it's great for when I'm just in my room or home alone. I find it especially good for right when I wake up--particularly in the middle of the night--to help associate it with waking up and therefore perhaps prevent false awakenings. I haven't had any experience with false awakenings lately though, so I can't tell you if it works or not. What do you think? Any feedback is welcome |

That sounds pretty good, I may start trying that. The nose-thing is good if I can remember to do it in a dream, but for some reason I rarely use it as a day-time RC, it just seems silly or something. Maybe I should start both, just for a change from checking the time and text. |

man... i know exactly how you feel. Ive never had a lucid but all my dreams are pretty vivid. Last night I was walking and then snakes came out of the brush and I tried to run but I was extremely slow. It seems that whenever its important I cant run fast and its hard. Although sometimes I can run fast it never feels natural. |
