I've found something out lately when being at the edge of falling asleep.
When I am very ''far away'' and very close to sleep I feel emotions,s ensations and Hypnologic Imagery becomes Intense and constantly flowing. As I am experiencing these wierd states of Mind I've noticed that if I ''open my closed eyes without opening them'' The Hypnologic Dream Images increase in brightness, intensity and Reality.

What I do is NOT opening my eyes. More like attempting to while your eyelids are glued together with superglue. You sort of Frown your eyebrows as high as you can get them up. Let you eyelids Strecht out while leaving them Closed: Not Forced shut, just relaxed and closed. As I do this while experiencing an intense and constant flow of Hypnagogic imagery I get remarkibly vivid, bright and Realistic DreamImages out of the swirling Hypnagogic Mess.

Also when I ''try to look different directions with my closed eyes,; Up, down left right, I get enhanced vivid and realistic Dream Images.

Anyone like to try out my found out trick to try inducing Dreams faster?

it is Hypnagogic lol
But yes, I've also done this while trying to WILD, Except I don't really move my eyebrows even, I just make the brain waves that I usually would to make my eyes open, but I don't do it (this all happens very fast, I dont know if I explain it properly but its just natural for me) and then it feels like I've actually opened my eyes to the dream world. Sometimes when I get distracted it feels like I close my eyes and come back to my body and I realise they were closed the whole time.

I wonder if this has any connection to the images you get if you press against your eyeballs with the palm of your hand...
We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true. - Woodrow Wilson

yeah that's the ''problem'' I am still facing when trying to WILD. As I go into wierder and wierder states of Mind I am deply in very busy spontanious thoughts. Almost chaotical. And it is like my Brain is trying to assess a mixture of Attention demanding Thoughts and Impressions as active as if in waking life you were trying to dodge pieces of rock while running through a City under Bombardment. Only rarely do I snap out of the chaotic thought strain and think WOA as I become aware. I realise I have been havind dream like visions with realistic views of enviroment and alot of Voices and Sounds and I only come to realise that when I snap out of it.

Okay but back to the Hypnagogia; I wish I could develop methods to submerse myself into this Dreamy Hypnagogic state of Mind faster and thus Induce a Dream faster. I'm allready more able to fall asleep faster by sheer power of will and peace of Mind.

Basically what I would need are 2 methods; 1 method to make the Mind dreamy, spontanious, natural and Hypnotised and Another method to keep the Mind Clear and the Awareness focussed and undisturbed.

the thing that happens here is that the receptors in our eyes are moustly light receptors so when they interect with something that is not light,, for example pressure (press your eyes right now// see colour lights?) well this is beacuse the receptor think this stimuli light stimuli so they react to it.. producing colour lights..
Same thing when you strech your eye lights..your are stimulating the receptor = stronger HI..

yeah I've heard something like that before: The receptors will mistake pressure for light signals.
Would that explain why during REM-sleep, when your eyelids move furiously, you see more and brighter light and have clearer, more vivid and realistic dreams?

Anyhow... maybe I could build a simple sleeping mask with something like 2 soft gelly balls in the place where my eyes are, So that all night they will apply slight pressure on my eyeballs. Maybe this would result in increased Hypnagogia and Dream Realism? It would be simple to make out of a piece of cloth and the 2 pressure-balls from Rubberbands wrapped around one another and tightly covered with some soft cloth.
Something like this:

Cloth_____
| |
A< O O >B (Tie A & B together behind your head)
\ /
Rubberband Pressure balls

Any other suggestions as how to speed up the onset of Hypnagogic Imagery, Increase Dream realism and Clearness Visually? Might be a good way to send yourself to neverneverland very fast and maybe also making it easier to do it consciously.Help me out here.

sorry i forgot to post back here, I think maybe something pressing your eyes will work, like you said.
And also I was thinking maybe taking Valium or something will relax you enough that if you can just keep yourself thinking, as with WILD, you will enter a dream state quicker while still being aware. Do you think this would work?

I've sort of noticed this too. I imagine it as opening my dream eyes and keeping my real eyes closed. It kind of tricks my mind to thinking my eyes are opening and I start to see more realistic imagery.

I think Valium will make you so Drowsy and slow that it'll serve to make sleep stronger and willpower and awareness weaker. Besides it wil most defenitely lead to decreased Dreaming or no Dreaming at all since all Depressant drugs surpress REM-sleep. Valium is an Opiate, and therefor addictive and harmfull. I only once took it out of sheer desperation due to 7 months of Insomnia: you'll take anything to knock you out believe me.

man I haven't had a lucid or even a clear very memorable dream in a long time now.

Sleeping with something pushing on your eyes is not a good idea - you may damage them. As a kid I used to play with my eyes to see weird psychedelic patternes... I stopped after I realized that could be dangerous.

I've noticed that the same thing works during a LD too - trying to open your eyes while they are already open. That did make the dream brighter and more vivid...

Yes, I suppose that's probably true, but just a tiny bit of pressure only on a few nights would probably not cause too much damage, you just have to make sure you use it in moderation. Of course eyes are very sensitive though, and on second thought I wouldn't try it myself since my eyes are already f%&^ed.

Wow SKA, hearing that from you the (master drug tryer) I dunno if I wanna have it anymore lol. But how come they call sedatives like valium hypnotic sedatives or watever. Surely it must help you to get hypnagogic imagery etc.
