you should try to relax at this point, even more so than you have before, and look foward to some vivid HI. when the vivid HIs come youre getting close to completing the WILD! |

Ok, so I can get into sleep paralysis pretty easily, but where do I go from there? Atleast I'm assuming that I'm fully into SP, because I can't move unless I send a very, very strong signal to do so. I can get to the point where I become sort of "unattached" to my limbs. |

whatever you do when you WILD, dont ever panic or get frustrated , try not to let your thoughts drift instead pin point all your consciousness into 1 single thought, relax even more as you start to see HI', and eventually the HI will drag you into your dream state. If you come to a complete stop, and you feel unattached to your body do a Reality Check, you never know. |

Ok guys, thanks for the advice. I'll try again tonight. |

I wouldn't know, I can't get even close to sp within an hour of lying still, lucky deep sleepers, or maybe you get to sleep real fast, I can't even get to sleep in an hour at night |

To lucid dream is my real test
To control them is my cause
I end up in this state a lot because I have been attempting to confirm for myself whether or not Astral Projection is real. I usually spend an hour or so attempting to achieve this and end up exhausted and fall asleep. Later on I usually wake just enough to be aware that my body is paralyzed. Because of my practice with sp induction the rest is easy. Just think about nothing if you can and just feel yourself float upward; usually for me it is quick...like being pulled out of your body. Of course I am not actually leaving my body but taking advantage of my lucidity through the idea of astral projection. From there I just fly away and enjoy the rest of the night. |
|
That's pretty much how it began with me. I wanted to see AP was real so I began inducing SP all the time, except my experiences just kept getting more and more "fake", so I sort of gave up. |
|
eggbert, i know what you mean. all of my LD's have been DILD's, no WILD's yet. my main problem is that it takes SOOOOOO long. then when you don't get there, it's super frustrating. i think the goal for all of us on/at this forum is to be able to LD at will whenever we feel like it... i'd hate to think you had to lie there "awake" (trying to get to SP/HI) for 1+ hours (at 4 AM after waking up in the middle of the night) every time you want to have a LD. |
|
yes same here, I've been meditating for over an hour in the morning and I havn't even come close, I guess people like me were never born to wild |

Well, what I have been trying is the "detatch yourself from your body while in sleep paralysis" technique. |

One thing I would recommend is that the next time you are lucid, before you end the dream, try to teleport to where your body is; this will usually wake you up just enough to be aware of the dull sensation of your body. From there attempt to "project" and it should be easy because you are still "asleep". It seems like a contradiction but trust me, once you see how simple it is, it becomes easier. When I do this it often gives me better clarity as well, almost like "refueling". It was another side effect of me attempting to astral project from a dream. |

Would like to comment that SP cannot be missed. Proper SP feels like you're being run over by an invisible, painless freight train. It can be difficult to focus in that condition. It has to happen enough for you to get used to it so it doesn't make you uneasy. Lying on your back will make SP more probable to occur. |

We who are about to dream, salute you!
Quick Question. |
|
Well, since we're on SP...I've tried WILD a grand total of four times. two attempts in last night. I can get into SP pretty easily, I read up on sythix's technique and I can get insanely numb in about 20-30 min. I don't seem to get bright colors so much, I see scenes or faces, so far it's been a little scary but I've gotten rid of them, or have gotten used to them since I got it explained what they were. I think I know when I start dreaming when these images and scenes begin to move and do things on their own, if that's the case I've dreamed from SP but I don't seem to get lucid, I'll be so relaxed that I'll just lose all will to do anything and I simply lose conciousness. |

I don't think that im in full SP. My body tingles, i once heard rap music, (no one in my house ever listens to it...) and i can feel my pulse extremely clearly wherever i focus. But thats the farthest that ive gotten. i could never just not move, but i didn't feel my body when i heard the music, then i remembered i was wilding and lost the music and found my body. D: |
