      First, hello to everyone!

This is the first time I post here, but i've been reading posts of this forum from days ago. I was introduced to lucid dreaming a month ago by a friend, and now we both are trying to have one.

It was some days ago when I had what could have been a lucid dreaming. In the dream, my friend (the one who introduced me to LD) and me were running because we were beeing followed by an evil monster (too much lovecraft-reading I suppose). In a certain moment, we both stopped and we had a little dialog, with would be something like:

Me: Hey, wait! Don't you see? This is a dream!
Friend: Yes, it is! We need to turn it into a Lucid dream.
Me: Remember this dream tomorrow. What was the next step to lucid dreaming once we know this is a dream?[/b]
And then, the evil monster re-appeared and we forgot everything about lucid dreaming. The fact is, maybe because that "Remember this dream tomorrow", I recalled all the entiere dream the morning after (it has another parts)

My question is, if I found myself in a similar situation again, what should I do to turn it into a lucid dream, if I already ew that I was dreaming? Because I probably forgot it because of the monster that was going to kill me if I didn't run very, very fast. I don't know

Hey, welcome. That actually was a Lucid Dream. The fact that you knew that you were dreaming made it that, so you can consider this you first lucid dream! :bravo: What you are really are looking for is dream control. I do not have that much dream control control currently, but the advice I can give you is stabilize your dream when you get lucid (search "real lucid dreams", and "stabilizing" or "stabilization", as they will find you some techniques). Also, practice makes perfect, and with every LD, your control will improve.

I don't think you were totally lucid as they are different degrees of lucidtiy...As PenguinLord13 said it, you are probably looking for controling your dreams, and maybe stabilising your lucidity...
Next time try considering the fact you are dreaming longer and not get disturbed by any dream event if you want to become fully lucid.

Thanks for the answers! So, that was kind of a lucid dream. That sounds great

I really should improve control, but having the first was a good sign I'll look for "stabilizing" and let's see if next time I make it better.

Good Job, by definition that was a lucid dream. Be happy. Next time it occurs, sit down, feel some stuff, and engage your senses, tell yourself "This is my brain and I control what occurs".

      Good job.

Don't worry too much about it. Its trite, but the best teacher IS experience. Just keep your motivation high (very important) by trying many different things all the time. You should learn to enjoy dreaming, and not aim too much for top lucidity. For example, instead of timing everything perfectly and stressing out, I just let myself go every night. As a result, I end up chaning multiple dream sessions, WBTB MILDs and WILDs, all in one night, all awakening naturally. I have a great time, and my lucidity and motivation only keep getting better.
