I have had a lack of LD's the last week or so, I've been getting plenty of sleep and mostly sleeping during the same hours(at least 8 hrs per night). I've also been trying the WBTB method to boot and nothing seems to work. Maybe I'm trying to hard, tonight I'll just go to sleep and not thing about LD's.

I wanted to hear from others that have experienced a lack of LD's for a week or more and to what did you attribute not being able to LD's. ie.. food, work, stress, trying to hard, etc....

it's been a little over a week since my last LD and im mad, ha. i'd just wake up in the middle of the night and start a technique and i'd be too sleepy to finish it so i wasted so many days, i atlwast found out my dream signs are being at school and playing guitar. and for the first time in a dream, i was reading something and it kept changing, but i didn't realize that that was a BIG giveaway that i was lucid. it was one of those very unclear things when you wake up and fall asleep many times in a row and dream.

The same here, a week with no LDs...I suspect disruption in my sleep schedule (we sprung forward this week for DST) and preoccupation with real life stresses. It makes me lose focus and not RC as often or effectively as I should. Plus I'm not as relaxed.

I expierience this weeks with no LDs when I change technique. I think one should stick with only one technique until he masters it and then try something else.

Actually it's kind of difficult when you follow a rich forum like DV with members with so many great ideas. You feel you have to try something else even if your "old" technique started to have results... But I think consistancy is the key to success.

A week with no lds eh, Ive had about 4 of those in a row now

But no worries I was just being lazy. Id suggest that you lay off any attempting to ld for a night or two, seems to help most people with dry spells.

I would definelty say trying too hard. I had a dry spell for about 2 weeks and just last night after relazing i had a kind of mini WILD my first success with that technique and a kind of LD. Yes you must relax, let them come, you can't force it, in waiting there is nothing to lose. Also stress of daily life or events ccan surely make you lose focus..

This lack of LDs must have been caused by a great disturbance in the force!

I've completely fucked up my sleep cycle at the moment, so I am having trouble LDing. Just get back into a normal, relaxed sleep pattern and then try again. Trying too much LDing can cause havoc with your sleep.
